Once again gaming journalists show how clueless many of them are. People complained about MS because of the lack of games and especially the games diversity. Now MS doesn't only have a console but also Gamepass which lives from a big games library and it needs a good amount of games in different genres to sell to many different gamers.
Now we have Grounded which doesn't only fill some holes MS has in their games library but which also sold already very well on Steam and it's still in Early Access.
What do these clowns ask for? Stop Grounded as project because it doesn't make much money and has "only" like 2,5k peak players a day. WHAT?
Not only has Grounded already close to 1m sales on Steam but it will probably reach more and more especially with the full release. It's also available on Gamepass which does obviously also kill some sales and number of players on Steam so that using the Steam player count to prove a point is also stupid. Especially since it still doesn't have enough content to let people play it hours over hours which would obviously increase the player count if a player would play it 100 hours and not only 10. Doesn't change the already very decent sales numbers and the success on Gamepass, though.
And then they really believe that such a small amount of extra devs would help TES so much to justify all of that? MS can just employ 15 extra devs if they need to. But no, they think it would be much smarter to force their studios to cancel projects they want to make just to work on TES. They think forcing creative people to work on something else is such a smart thing to do especially after all these devs praised MS for the creative freedom they have under Phil.
How can gaming journalists be so clueless when it's their freaking job?
Grounded won't be a huge game like Halo, Fallout or whatever but it could reach one of the highest margins for any of MS's IPs with that success and so few devs working on it. That's just a nice extra bonus.
