can someone clarify something for me pls and sorry if this has been answered before, but to get EA Play once it eventually comes to gamepass PC can I just be a member of Gamepass PC as a standalone or is it ONLY with game pass ultimate? the wording is confusing me and attempts to google didn't really clarify anything

I already upgraded to ultimate a few days ago in anticipation but i'm wondering if I maybe did that for no reason lol

From the original news piece back in September (source: Microsoft):

"Today, we’re excited to announce the next step in this journey. We are teaming up with Electronic Arts to provide Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC members with an EA Play membership at no additional cost starting this holiday. This means Ultimate members can enjoy EA Play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows 10 PCs, and Xbox Game Pass for PC members get EA Play on Windows 10."

So Game Pass for PC = EA Play PC

Game Pass Ultimate = EA Play PC + Console

oh, maybe not then LOL

the wording made me think that the "Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Members" meant you needed to have both

thanks

I just subscibed Disney+ a month ago. Mandalorian is pretty good and I highly recommend the Broadway show Hamilton. It was awesome and I don't even like rap music.Still unsure if I'll get my Series X tomorrow.. Gigantti won't get their shipment until 14:00 and it'll take them a while to short their shit out damnit..

ah I actually missread the ask :) Was talking about console, did not even know it would support the PC version of EA play. That's nice

Got a confirmation today that Series X will be ready to pick up tomorrow. Not great that I have to go to retailer to pick it up but still better than nothing.

Just talked to Amazon support and was told that they are out of Series X stock and are waiting on more before they can ship to me, didn't even tell me when more stock will arrive, could be weeks for all I know. Total bs, like I said before, I ordered with plenty of time to spare on preorder opening day, so I should have been pretty high up the queue to get one. It's ridiculous that they not only allowed tons more people to preorder than they had allocated stock from Microsoft, but also that they had more than a month to get enough stock from Microsoft to cover all of the people they allowed to preorder, but didn't. They sent this email 3 days after preorders opened saying that they were working with MS to get enough stock for everybody they allowed to preorder:

Hello,
We're contacting you about your order of Xbox Series X to let you know in advance that you may not receive this item on the day it is released due to high demand. We are making every effort with the supplier to procure more inventory. We will provide additional updates once more information becomes available.

No additional updates were given, so I assumed that they had procured enough stock for everyone they allowed to preorder.

Oh wow :( I'm so sorry. This sucks so much...

I
Can't
Wait

I think I need to buy an external (non proprietary) SSD for some of the BC titles once I get my Series X.

1TB should be enough. Reserved for the slowest loading games (for example RDR2) and most played games.

Current 3TB HDD serves for the rest of the BC titles, mostly indies.

I have 2TB HDD now, gonna wait for 2TB Seagate card I guess or for the time when 1TB goes down in price for a bit. 3TB total has been pretty much fine for me this gen,
