Forums bruh, we’d make you think that some of these obscure games are more popular than COD or Banjo 🙂

Because Halo 3 is an FPS and people have some experience with FPS games.  Becoming an average player in Halo/COD etc is not that hard and takes less time.  Gears gameplay is something totally different (check dr disrepects's first gears 5 match)  the wallbouncing/Up A/Direction of the pellets and so on makes it harder to become an average player and especially hard for newcomers....They tried to make it user friendly but TC changed all the noob features.  It is no fun for newcomers to go into a ranked match now.  They end up getting destroyed and have to read in chat 'Ezzy, go play fortnite!! from the opposing team.

You should check the TC forums.  It is full with hate so much so that users themself make weekly threads about it:

I'd agree. I still play Gears 3 online, but man it took a long time to get into back in the day since I was playing Reach and BF3 mostly. While the mic trash talk isn't as prevalent as it used to be, its still there from ALL kinds of people and races.  I remember back in the day everyone would leave the lobby if they spotted a mexican sounding name in fear of those laggy mexican servers. I'm guilty of doing that many times, but I don't recall ever trash talking anybody.

Well you have global chat now so you can type during a match (I turned it off because I tend to play with female gamers who verbally get abused during matches if we are at the losers end even while we are diamond II in rank).     The south American/Central American gears fans are the majority of the players so much so that the biggest gears content creator Moomoomilk tends to speak Spanish in his Twitch stream and others are following him.

I'm glad that Morrowind came in 2nd on the poll. Hopefully Bethesda actually gives us a remake running on the latest build of the Creation engine at some point this gen, I want to play it for the first time, but I just can't bring myself play it when it looks like this:

Especially since the character models, animations, voice acting, and gameplay systems are even more dated than the environment graphics are.

The outdated gameplay is what makes diehard fans love Morrowind so much so that some prefer to play the Xbox version because it didn't got the Quest Tracker that the PC version got.   I am literally playing Morrowind now and while the game is slow and annoying (lots ot travelling/spending 10 minutes in my journal) you get used to it.  My character is rather fast now and their is no other RPG where you start so weak but become like a god that feels so rewarding.  I am litterally have pen and paper next to me and write locations/names/quests that are open down.

Going trough a journal that can end up close to 900 pages is annoying:

The game is so open, that you can kill anyone and break your game easy.  If they remake it they should give options....   Do you want the option to turn fast travel on?  Do you want the ability to track quests? Do you want to have quest waypoints  Etc.

Yeah Morrowind is the first game that became user friendlier...Daggerfall is a bit extreme.  Nothing is so annoying as travelling 9 days in game and to read one quest can't be completed because the guy that sick and asked you to get a antidote in Xradhvad has passed away from his sickness...Tried to get that potion but I was to weak to free a Mage that got kidnapped in Xradhvad and was locked up in Grabholm full with undeath creatures. 15.000 cities is a bit to much.

I can see many Remaster Collections in the future. We got the Wolfenstein Collection and Arkane with Dishonored/Prey, but they could do so much more.

Fallout Collection: Fallout 3, Vegas, and 4 with all DLC.
Elder Scrolls Collection: Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim with all DLC.
Doom Collection: Doom 1/2, Doom 3 BFG Edition, Doom 64, and Doom 2016

Given how PS5 cant go that far back in BC, these titles would be an edge for the Xbox brand, for new gamers and gamers who missed the older ones.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Can't that be modded out on PC?

The Elder Scrolls games are very modding-friendly

Wolfenstein collection? I thought that was rumored.

Collections would be nice though.
