Asobo and Platinum would be my picks.
Asobo seems like a no brainer. Tech land would be great, same with IOI.

They need to try with Platinum maybe Shinji Mikami can convince them to join because he was a co founder of that studio.

With Bethesda now in the ranks i really hope that this RPG isn't 1st person because we have too many in RPGS 1st person right now with Avowed, The Outer Worlds, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls and possibly Starfield not to mention that many other Bethesda studios also have games in 1st person perspective so we need more diversity. With them hiring the God of War combat director I'm assuming that it's in 3rd person.

If that is true, I'm loving what I see. The universe doesn't look too, too advanced in terms of tech (like Mass Effect of Halo), which is interesting. I don't think there many examples of that in recent times. I can't wait to see more of it.

Realistically what JP studio can MS buy? I thought Tri-Ace would’ve been an interesting grab back before they were bought by Nepro in 2015. Doesn’t necessarily be a publisher or a crazy acclaimed studio, just give me a mid sized JP that’s capable MS. Tango was a start :)

The biggest Independent JP studios right now are Cyberconnect2, Level 5, Platinum and Tri-Ace. Due to relationships MS can buy Swery's studio White Owl games and Grounding Inc but both those studios are tiny and would have to expanded.
Other studios mid sized studios would be Shift https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shift_(company), Aquria https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquria and Ganbarion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganbarion probably more out there that i missed but I'm not that informed

Asobo would be good to get their tech for like Forza as well. Wouldn't mind playing some of their other titles though.
I really wish they would acquire a studio to do fighting games, would have loved the MK devs.
I would say a Japanese studio (not gonna happen), and Asobo. Wonder when we will hear about it.

Asobo would be a great pick and a must, for their versatility.
A fighting game studio wouldn’t be bad. It can be formed by Double Helix and Iron Galaxy vets.
A studio like Playtonic would be nice to work on Rare legacy titles.
