The fact that he says it's releasing sooner than people expect is worrying for sure, makes it sound like it's a 2021 release. MS's AAA lineup for 2021 is looking quite poor currently, most of their AAA 1st party games are looking like 2022 or later. MS needs more AAA than just Forza Horizon 5 for 2021, if Sony has 3 AAA's for 2021, Tokyo Ghostwire, FF16, and Horizon: Forbidden West. Time to moneyhat a 3rd party AAA of your own for 2021 Phil!

Sucks that Kingdom Come and DMC are leaving Gamepass soon. I was waiting on Series X to play Kingdom Come, since the base XB1 version is pretty much unplayable.

Doesn't really bother me. We get FF VII Remake in 2021. Two FF games of that caliber in one year would be overkill.

Fat chance of that. A 1 year timed deal on game that sells as well as GTA would probably cost Sony like $500m+, even timed DLC for GTA 4 cost MS $100m back in 2008, and that was when GTA sales were like 20m, not 100m+.

No date or window was given for Ratchet & Clank 2 or Demon's Souls remake, only Horizon Forbidden West was said to be aiming for 2021. But considering how long Ratchet & Clank 2 and Demon's Souls remake have already been in development, I wouldn't be surprised if they make 2021. MS really needs to work on their 2021 lineup to compete. They have plenty of A and AA for 2021, but AAA is nearly zilch.
