What's the origin of the ABYX on controllers?

I thought they were just hiring some ex sega employees like Peter moore later on

I knew they were inspired by the dreamcast controller. I was just wondering why it's ABXY instead of ABCD or ABYZ for most controllers.

Hell ya. Always like seeing Sea of Thieves prove the haters wrong 2 years later. Also the overall message is that Xbox is thriving on other platforms. Slowly but surely people will see the brand isn’t just a console anymore.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Anyone here playing Minecraft dungeons? What are your thoughts?

First Minecraft game I've ever touched, enjoying it so far.

I've been playing MC Dungeons and have enjoyed it so far. It is a fairly short game, but for $20, you can't really complain.

Agreed. especially so if you have access to the game with GamePass. I've had a blast playing with my younger brother. I may even buy the DLC, depending on what the content is like.

I had a modest amount of enjoyment with it in first 2 hours.  But it's really a "baby's first Diablo" to an extreme extent.  The issue with Minecraft licensing seems to be how they don't take its cool emergent bits anywhere.  TellTale games just predesignate what to craft when given the opportunity and Dungeons' static levels don't offer experimentation.

Yeah. I've actually been calling it "bitch diablo" to my brother. I would like a little more variety in both enemy types, builds and levels.

Yes I'm playing and enjoying it. Currently lvl36 and we're working on Adventure mode levels. It doesn't really matter if the story is short, completing it the first time is when the fun starts. Levels are a bit different each time you play and changing difficulty makes them play different. Also you get better loot and it's fun to find out different combos.

Very cool game and according to trueachivements.com charts it was 4th most played game in it's opening week despite thursday release!

Yeah, I noticed that too. I have actually been using TA to look at the solutions for the game. I intend on finishing it all at this point.

Does anyone intend on buying/not buying the DLC or are you waiting to see what's included?

Sounds like a bad anti-consumer move right before the start of the next gen, *Facepalm*

Doesn't personally affect me thankfully, though my friend did get the Cyberpunk console 2 days ago and was going to give me the digital code since he was buying it physically.

Doesn't affect me personally, except for how it just did, is a weird statement.

Fuck this crap. People here in Russia can't receive Cyberpunk 2077 which is "bundled" with Limited Edition console without contacting support because of this shit. It was already too bad when they switched to digital codes instead of physical copies but this is way worse. It kills the purpose of buying bundles entirely.

MS cant have their service show until their July show at this point unless their undercutting Sony in price.
Imagine Sony having a big blowout and MS having a features and xcloud show with no new games. That coupled with the May show would be terrible PR. Only way I see it working out for them is if the Swries X is cheaper than the PS5.

Seems like they've run into some production problems with it so it gets delayed. Won't be surprised if they release it in February-March 2021 instead of Holiday 2020.

Interesting. I usually hate when bundles don't come with a physical copy period. But in this case, if you're buying something this frivolous, and likely because you're a fan who already pre-ordered the collector's edition for Cyberpunk, getting a bonus digital version is a nice novelty.

If he really doesn't want two copies, he can always give you the physical version.

As to why I'm here... I was just popping in to ask about this bundle. Right now it's available in my region for $499 (NZ dollars), which is roughly $250 US with our exchange rate. Compared to the next-gen twins which will launch for at least $1000 here, I'm thinking that's not terrible value.

I have no intention at all to buy one of the new twins for at least the first year, likely two. So if I was to buy this now, how well would it run new games for the next couple years? Halo Infinite for example?

One X would be great for the next couple of years if you don't care about getting stuff like RT, fast load speeds, 4K, 60 fps.

Most of that I'm not bothered by, but 60 fps is pretty important. Of course it's different for every game, but surely something like Halo would be a mandatory 60 fps? Will games come with an option for low res high fps?
