Fable

"Playground does make racing games but I think what Playground does is high quality, high craft, attention to detail. They had a particular passion for the IP and demonstrated what the heart and soul of Fable is about and how they can bring it forward for today, a modern take on Fable, there is stuff that I wish I could share and show because some of the things that I've seen are so encouraging"

"Your point is spot on that there is a danger sometimes that you don't want to give the RPG team to go make a racer game, you can get in trouble there, but they've got a great technology base and a passion for the IP and a demonstrative commitment, craft and quality."

Booty shared some scepticism even during some of the first reviews along these lines, but they've since put that to rest for him.

InXile

"I'm not going to steal the teams thunder by talking too much about what they're making but I'll say that in the last 6 months or so of the times that I've gone to see a demo, going to get a demo of what they're working on was a really cool moment, we had all the Studio Heads together and we were reviewing it, and everybody was kind of blown away"

"It was one of those things where they showed us, started showing us what they were working on and a couple minutes in I'm like "Oh this isn't bad for what they've got" and then it went a few more minutes and I'm like "oh they've got a lot to show here" and then I'm like "okay we are 15 minutes into this demo, and it still looks fantastic" and then they're like "okay and now let's show you the next part"

"What they've got done is great, if there was some measure for a studio of the coolness of what you've created as a ratio and how many people are working on it, that studio has to win some sort of prize because they get the absolute most out of everybody and make the most focused use of the resources that they've got, Brian Fargo leading that studio is just a masterclass, these are the resources that I've got, these are the constraints that I've got, this is how big I am, okay what is the best thing I can do with that"

If there's an extended demo of what inXile is working on, I wonder if we'll at least get an announcement trailer at TGA?

I guess this was the one area that 343 hasn't covered yet regarding the Winter Update. But, it's only 30 tiers lol

It is completely free Battle Pass at least. I am fairly certain they already announced it would be 30 tiers. Gives me time to actually go and complete Season 2.

With that new XP system, double XP boosters, and focusing on challenges (which are going to be more general than mode specific finally) you'll breeze through the seasonal battle pass! I'm just glad they're bringing all the Reach armor sets that were teased in the promotional videos but for some reason, never launched with the game lol

I could probably Google this shit but Ryuu needs the views so I'll. Ask. Here. Is Grounded one of those traditional survival games where you gotta eat, drink, sleep?

Yes lol. It is a Survival game with Survival game mechanics first and foremost, BUT, unlike typical Survival games, there is an ending because it has a full-fledged campaign to it. Writing and humor is top notch and there's deeper than expected RPG mechanics where you got weapons and clothing with stats, try out different builds, crafting, etc.

So this game is definitely made in mind with players that are new to the Survival genre. Probably the only Survival game I've ever actually enjoyed playing lol. Others make you wanna rip your hair out.

Ugh, the Right Bumper on my Xbox Series controller is no longer working right after less than 2 years, it feels mushy and half the taps don't register. I miss the days when game controllers were made to rigorous and exacting standards. All of my original Sega Genesis controllers still work after 28 years, all of my 360 controllers still work, but every single Xbox One and Xbox Series controller I have bought has had something go wrong with it within 2 years. Switch is no better from what I hear, joycon stick drift issues still happening 5.5 years into Switch's life cycle even on newly bought Switch's.

Even more annoying is the fact that Xbox makes their controllers difficult to fix yourself these days, the covers are hard to remove, and you need to buy a special screwdriver.
