He wanted a terrain editor ("maybe one of these days we'll get it") but they traded that cost for some other things.

Schorr (Shortened): Huge shoutout to Skybox Labs, they're a partner, we treat them as an internal partner, they're not an outsource place, they're like internal developers to us even though they live in Vancouver. We've worked so closely with them in Forge.
Acquire Skybox Labs, Microsoft.
Schorr is looking at Forge like a platform, he expects to see things transcend the Halo universe, having portfolios in Forge and landing game dev jobs.
They could investigate allowing to fine tune bots logic in the future.
They have several years' worth of backlog that they want to add to Forge still, they have a rolling 2-year plan which is spec'd out but left a little room for community specific asks.
They've spoken about water, it's high on the community list and their list.
Some things require 343 to actually add a game mode, such as creating multi-teams in Forge.
Campaign bots (I.E. Banished) are "top of mind" and they've heard the message loud and clear.
