Do you think about other games as potential content franchises?

It has been a very fruitful collaboration with Microsoft. And so there are other things that we are constantly thinking about.

How Paramount+ and Showtime Will Compete Against Streaming Giants: A Conversation With David Nevins – The Hollywood Reporter

Gears of War probably since Fallout and Elder Scrolls is already happening, I can see someone try to do a Warcraft TV show sometime down the line.

Lost any interest I had in Wo Long when I learned it not only is lacking multiple difficulty settings, but that bosses get stronger each time you die, thereby making the game more difficult the more you fail a boss fight.

Thankfully Black Myth Wukong, another Souls like set in China, does seem to have multiple difficulty settings like Jedi: Fallen Order and Stranger of Paradise.

I wonder if there is even a limit on how much stronger the boss can get. It's surely interesting mechanic. It will definitely shrink the potential game audience by not giving multiple difficulties, but at least there won't be lazy approach like they did with Stranger of Paradise, where Normal is still quite difficult and Easy is so easy that you can just get through the game by simple button mashing without understanding combat system at all. Why not just make a difficulty which sits in between.

@poll

I have mixed feelings regarding this question. On one hand, all games should be on Xbox, but at the same time some games simply can't be adapted well to use gamepad as an input. So, I will probably vote no, because I doubt it is a good idea to sell games on Xbox which require additional input (KB+M) which most Xbox gamers might not have. No need to create confusion. If someone is interested in RTS games, they better buy a PC or laptop, it's not like the genre is even present on consoles.

There are definitely a handful I could see becoming shows. Gears of War, Evil Within, Perfect Dark, Dishonored, and Starfield could be made into live action shows. Psychonauts 2, Battletoads, and Sea of Thieves could be made into animated shows using a similar art direction as the games.

I do not believe Team Ninja ever do difficulty settings.  None of their action RPG games has ever had difficulty settings that I can remember so its pretty much par for them.  Is that any different then a Souls game, there are no difficulty settings for those as well.  The key as will the game like Elden Ring is what tools do they give you to get past difficult situations and bosses.  In Elden Ring you can use multiple different ways to get past difficult bosses or you can just hammer at them with your own elite skill.

Wo Long looks about as fun as Nioh and Team Ninja just does combat so much better than From Software in my opinion so I am looking forward to the game.  The one thing I like about Team Ninja games is that even though they use soulds mechanics, the actual gameplay and combat is their style which I enjoy better than the plotting of Souls.  Either way, to each their own.

That's not really accurate. The original release of Ninja Gaiden (2004) had 3 difficulty settings (Normal, Hard, and Very Hard, you start with just normal and unlock hard by beating normal and very hard by beating hard) and was well known for it's high difficulty even on Normal mode, and was widely regarded as one of the most difficult games ever on higher difficulty modes until Demon's Souls released and surpassed it's difficulty. Ninja Gaiden Black one year later added 2 new difficulty settings, Ninja Dog (easy, unlocked by dying 3 times on the first level) and Master Ninja (extremely hard, unlocked by beating the game on very hard). Ninja Gaiden Sigma (the PS3 port of the formerly Xbox exclusive game) made the game even easier by rebalancing some stuff, adding more save points and item shops. Then years later Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus was released on PS Vita, and added the easiest mode yet, hero mode, which attempts to autoblock enemy attacks for you (unless you are in the middle of an attack animation when the enemy attacks). Hero Mode is also available in the Ninja Gaiden Collection version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS4 and XB1.

Ninja Gaiden 2 had 4 difficulty levels at release, Acolyte, Warrior, Mentor, and Master.

Ninja Gaiden 3 had 4 difficulty levels at release, Hero (same as the hero mode mentioned above with auto-blocking), Normal, Hard, and Master.

It wasn't until Ninja Team decided to copy Souls with the first Nioh that they did away with multiple difficulty levels.

You are correct, I forgot that they did have that easy mode in Ninja Gaiden, from my memory I thought you had to beat normal mode first in order to unlock the more difficult levels.  I stand corrected.

Games that needed additional devices to be played have existed for decades. Pretty much every Kinect, PS move, and VR games (including the Nintendo cardboard thingy) follow this concept, so I fail to see how K+M should be any different. At the end of the day, it is your decision to buy it or not.

Found this while browsing Reddit. This is actually showing how the philosophy is different between the 2.
For the game prices, I guess it is about 1st party games, cause I do not think it is different between the 2.

The paid cloud saves is what is pissing me the most about Play Station... I have PS Plus Premium but I know that whenever I want to stop it; I will lose the ability to upload/download my saves. This is so stupid and should be a basic services for everyone.

Now if Microsoft comes with the family plan, they are really going to be way better in term of value. (at least for my needs)

Final reminder!

I found this out the hard way, but there is a finite amount of cloud storage on your paid service. I believe it's 100GB

I don't think Nintendo even has a limited amount of cloud storage.

The second season of ‘Halo’ officially began filming last Monday (August 15) in Budapest, Hungary, with the majority of the cast and crew. The remaining cast is set to join the production this week.

‘Halo’ Season 2 production will take more than ten months to wrap up in June 2023. We can also confirm that in addition to the present team of Spartans, there will be another female member (soldier) joining the Silver Team of Master Chief in Season 2.

Seeing the current production schedule and amount of post-production this series required, we can expect Season 2 to premiere sometime in later 2023 or the first quarter of 2024.

Season 2 have a great potential to be all around better than season 1. I truly hope they have listened to the critics and can resolve most of season 1 shortcomings and refocus on more interesting plot point and development. Should not be that difficult as they only need to make a better use of the source material and limit their "original" story.
