I think perhaps the biggest threat to Gamepass that this new PS Plus poses, is that it makes Gamepass look bad in terms of Library Size. Gamepass currently has 362 games while Gamepass Ultimate has 454 games thanks to EA Play being included with Gamepass Ultimate. PS Plus Extra (which competes with Gamepass) will have up to 400 PS4/PS5 games at any one time, potentially more than the current 362 games on Gamepass, while PS Plus Premium has up to 700+ games, alot more than the 454 games available on Gamepass Ultimate, while also costing $60 a year less than Gamepass Ultimate.

Now obviously library size isn't everything, and Gamepass still has one huge advantage, that being day one 1st/2nd party exclusives (as well as some day one 3rd party exclusives). But, it's a kind of a bad look for Gamepass Ultimate in particular to have a much smaller library than PS Plus Premium while also costing $60 a year more than PS Plus Premium. Xbox may need to either do something extra to increase the library size on Gamepass Ultimate (Uplay+ added to Gamepass Ultimate in addition to EA Play perhaps?) or lower the yearly pricing on Gamepass Ultimate some. I guess we'll have to wait and see how Xbox plans to counter this new PS Plus.

MS always advertised Game Pass as having 100+ games, even when they had triple the amount. People didn't care back then when comparing it to other services and I doubt they will care now. There's a point where you don't even notice that one service has 100 games more than the other.

With the Activision/Blizzard aqcuisition, dozens of permanent titles will be added to the service. Pushing it over 400 games in GP and 500 in GP Ultimate easily.

That's a good point, I forgot about the huge backlog of Acti-Blizz games they will soon be able to add to both Gamepass console and Gamepass PC.

And I doubt any of those AB games will make it to Sony's service. Well, I say that, but the deal isn't even finalized lol I can see Activision putting CoD Vanguard on PS Plus just to get more people to play it lol

Microsoft really gonna be quiet and drip feed us until June

It's okay, we're almost there...

Let's hope they're going for the biggest mic drop in June lol

Hmm, not sure how I feel about this.

So they got AoE on mobile before getting it on console?

Diablo 4 is looking fantastic! Well, at least in graphical showcases. We'll have to see if the story and gameplay loop is actually good this time around lol. Diablo III just from a gameplay loop was too simple and practically played itself lol.

But with Diablo IV most likely releasing after the AB deal is done, this will be a MASSIVE Game Pass booster!

Starfield is going to be the first real Current-Gen Marquee game, I believe that Todd will deliver.

I definitely haven't seen BGS push so hard on a title despite showing so little before. It feels like having a new IP really sparked the creativeness and excitement in the studio. I'm very optimistic. Especially with Todd saying they're going to their Morrowind days of RPG gameplay.

Beat Control. Game is kind of mid to me. It's a good game, but nothing that really grabbed me. I kind of feel Remedy is overrated. Granted didn't play Max Payne, or Alan Wake, some would argue their best work, but QB and Control weren't anything that really grabbed me.

Polaris mission was the coolest though.

I guess it would all be how you approached and play their games.  I loved both QB and Control but then again I love playing around with the tools they give you as the player.  I actually did not take to Alan Wake that much.  Either way, I have found someone greatest game of the year is another person so so game, its all personal.
