Edit - Nevermind, it looks like they did sell the Hitman IP, I swear Square still owned the trademark, Square is still doing Hitman content too...Regardless of that, they definitely won't sell the Tomb Raider IP, it's far too big of a brand.

I thought at the time IOI split off the IP remained as Square's property but IOI got the rights to makes games as they like it was definitely a weird situation with very vague information around itwhen it happened.

Crysis 4 is in development. Makes sense with the recent remasters and it was another game that was on the Geforce Now leak.

Seems odd that it's focused at console subs when it should probably be about subscription giants like Netflix, Disney and Amazon before focusing on a smaller market like Xbox consoles. I've left Netflix sub active unused for months and they never let you know about it or turn off the unused sub they just email you every day begging you to come back when you actually un-subscribe.

I doubt that single studio acquisitions would have any effect on the regulatory bodies at all, but they definitely won't announce a full publisher acquisition until after Acti-Blizz closes, if ever.

But I do think they need to make some more single studio acquisitions before then if possible. Their Japan situation is still woeful, the only way to fix their situation there is expanding their first party in Japan, and they can't afford to wait until Q2 2023 for the Acti-Blizz deal to close to fix the Japan situation, if they do Sony and Nintendo will have either moneyhatted or won over by default even more Japanese exclusives than they already have. If they plan to acquire Sega or something after the Acti-Blizz deal closes, I guess they could get by with some moneyhatted JP exclusives until then, but some single studio JP acquisitions would be preferable.

I think small Studio acquisitions are fine too , Potencial targets I would like are IOI interative makers of hitman series , Moon studios the Ori Devs, Asobo Studios they have the Plague in Tale IP and made a great game in Flight Simulator  , I think Crytek needs saving since no one wants them . Or they wouldn't sell?

The sell isn't even done and you guys are already back on that wagon.  Good lord you guys sure love your mega corps grabbing everything they can.  I just finished watching that Peter Jackson movie Mortal Engines and you guys remind me of that movie a lot.

Lmao.

Yeah, damn y'all never full.

Here's a fun chat between Brad, Colt and Hoeg Law (who is a M&A lawyer), Brad thinks that Microsoft won't make any large acquisitions at all until this one clears due to regulation eyes being on them, not just for Xbox but the whole company, Hoeg agrees and they both believe if there's any acquisition it will only be very small indie developers.

Hoeg talks a lot about the process and his interpretation on other things.

Nah I'm bored of Activision, think we need more. Could definitely use a few more independent studios to round out those edges.

that's for posting a cult video.

Didn't participate but I agree with a lot of the category winners and runner ups and also the average ratings. Good job

Finished FC 3, starting 4 right now. First difference, my Lord do I love 60 fps. It's so hard to go back to 30...

Was the XB1 port of Far Cry 3 not 60 fps? Or did you play the old 360 version on back compat?

XB1 classic edition of FC 3 did not have an FPS boost. It was rough af.
