Speaking of Bioshock, the recent leaks about Bioshock 4 sound very promising. If Sony timed hatted it, as was rumored earlier this year, I'm going to be pretty pissed at them, as if I wasn't already pissed enough about their timed hats of FF7 Remake, Deathloop, Tokyo Ghostwire, and KOTOR Remake.

I was wondering what's with all these Sony timed exclusives? It's starting to remind me of EGS getting timed exclusivity just so the games don't appear on Steam lol.

The developer behind this indie game called Darq a couple years ago said Epic Games refused to put his game on EGS unless he agreed to timed exclusivity. He couldn't have the option to have his game on both storefronts at launch, so he turned the deal down. But that's an indie developer, not a AAA studio.

Has anyone here played Origins? I was never the biggest fan of AC games, but got into it really starting with Unity, and Syndicate. I really enjoyed Syndicate's characters and story. I'm on the side of less stealth is better. Pretty big change for Origins obviously.

Not a huge fan of the character and story, but the gameplay is pretty fun and the RPG elements are cool well. Definitely the best open world AC game, just looks amazing. But holy shit there is so much side shit to do. I feel like I've barely made a dent in it. I heard Odyssey and Valhalla are even bigger as well. Already ordered Odyssey and Valhalla I have. Who else enjoys playing these games... @Ryuu96 :)

I beat the main campaign, fantastic game overall Bayek is 100% my fav AC protags. You get to see more of his personality through side missions.

Word of advice is that the Spear is the best weapon in the game imo, if you can get one that has health recovery on kill or Bleeding/Poison Effect then even better it’s fantastic for 1v1 and group fights and you can cheese higher level enemies with it.

The FFXV event in the game which is a side quest will give you what’s going to be your favorite Weapons and amount in the game.

Also there is a side quest which is imo the best one in the entire game that I didn’t find until post game where i started exploring more of the map, the hint is that it’s located at the bottom of the map. 100% recommend doing this one.

Halo has a pretty substantial lead on players' voice voting, it is now up by 16 points over the 2nd place, It Takes Two. I honestly don't know if Halo can blow a lead this big, unless people play the campaign tomorrow, hate it, and change their vote xD

Timing falls very well for it. Voting ending just as it's about to launch so all attention is on Halo. Very weird you can vote for a game that isn't even out and was past the cut off for TGA's other awards but there you go lol.

Reviews are still very important. Just because games are now more accessible and you don't need to drop $60 to have access to a new game doesn't mean reviews are pointless. Just review the quality of the game so people know if it's worth playing.

Seems we can't pre-download due to a technical limitation on Xbox's side, Halo Infinite Campaign is considered DLC to Halo Infinite which is already fully downloadable and they can't time gate specific parts of the build, in simple terms, you can't pre-download DLC on Xbox.

Nice lol I wonder why they had it setup that way for the campaign to be viewed as DLC. It's the same way on Steam. If you go to Infinite's main page, you'll just see the "download now" option. You'll have to scroll down to the DLC section to find the campaign.

I would've preferred if it was the other way around where the campaign was the main part of the game, and within the main menu was where you could access the multiplayer. Even have the option to uninstall just the multiplayer if you want.

I love the whole Bioshock series. Infinite was a fantastic game but tbh the early gameplay trailers looked even more intriguing.

I liked the setting and steampunk stuff on Syndicate, but characters and story were lame. Jack the Ripper dlc was alright.

Origins is probably my favorite AC. Odyssey is great but way too big with shitloads of copy/paste locations and missions, and at times voice acting is awful. Dlc is pretty good.

Bayek and Alexios are cool characters. Not sure why but that Valhalla viking guy looks like a dick so haven't played it yet.

Started We Happy Few yesterday and I'm about 10 hours in.
Always was afraid of starting this cause a) I really disliked Compulsions previous game Contrast (mostly due to it being butt ugly and techincal flawed) and b) I'm not a fan of survival games (turns out it's not that bad).
I know that the game was bugged as hell when it launched but it's quite playable now. I actually like it more than I expected. The bigger budget is very noticeable. Yet, I can still notice a ton of design flaws. I'll continue playing but so far I'd give it a 7/10.

I wonder what they are working on now. It's been a few years since they released it...

There were some leaks a month ago. It's supposed to be a dark fantasy third-person action-adventure, but it won't be anything like We Happy Few. Here's a link:

New upcoming Xbox exclusives revealed: Project 'Midnight' from Compulsion and 'Pentiment' from Obsidian | Windows Central

Rumor is it's a dark fantasy 3rd person action adventure game inspired by American Southern Gothic Literature novels, except with the addition of magic and fantasy beasts like Harpies. Codename is Midnight. Compulsion has now more than doubled in size since We Happy Few released.

Whilst they have doubled since the release on We Happy Few the vast majority of the games development was done when they were just 12-20 staff they didn't actually jump up to the 35ish until the last few months in the polishing stage so with them hitting 80+ devs their next project is going to be massive in comparison.
