Microsoft can't be as bad as Ubisoft. Even the May event was more interesting.

Yeah, that's a pretty safe bet. I'm expecting MS to top the Sony June show as well, which was kind of underwhelming for me personally.

I didn't watch it, so I really can't grade it, but I liked Ratchet and Clank, Spiderman, Horizon and I'm thinking one other thing, but I can't remember what...

Will it not run on the same settings on the PS5.

I think the "Series X and Xbox one X only" refers to the base Xbox one not PS5.

I’d put Saints Row 2 up there with any GTA game. It was amazing. I haven’t enjoyed any of them sense, they just went overboard with the insanity imho. I also agree with those saying CD3 is underrated. It’s not a gem or anything but a 60 meta score is nonsense.

I enjoyed what I saw of Valhalla today. The combat looks a bit mindless but the gore looked good, looked brutal. But why did they bother showing this branching storyline with that Marcus or whatever guy and then go on to say no matter what you choose you end up in an alliance with him anyway... way to flatten your own tires there.

I'm not really getting the AC Valhalla hate, I mean the 30 minute gameplay demo has 1 dislike for every 2 likes, I don't seen anything that could justify that level of hate. It looks great to me, I'm seeing several notable improvements over the already great AC Odyssey; both graphical and gameplay improvements. Combat looks the best out of all 3 AC RPG games thanks to dual wielding, axe throwing, more combat abilities, more weapon types, greater enemy type variety, etc. Stealth is back again, we have social stealth, the possibility of assassinating main story bosses, etc. The exploration aspect looks better than the previous 2 RPG AC games. We have proper character customization now, which is good because I don't like the look of default Eivor. The England map seems properly big and filled with content, and it is just 1 of 3 maps in the game.

The only real issue I see is that the facial animations are still kind of bad, but they still have 4 months to fix that ahead of release.

You can ask Ryuu, I'm a Ubisoft and ass creed hater (minus Rayman, Child of Light, and South Park), but I actually watched the 30 minute gameplay and it looked cool. Liked the overall combat and gore, some of the side quests, consequences as well.

Spoiler!
I love cats, so I liked seeing the cat too lol.

Biggest thing that needs work are the faces, but like you said they can fix that. I think of lot of hate comes from people like me, who just hate on Ubisoft. Another thing I'm seeing is that people are saying it's not "next gen." I don't know what people expected it's a cross gen game. I swear people are just new to this everytime a console comes out.

For me personally. I need to go back to other Ass. Creed games. I only played AC 3 on Wii U (back when I wanted to buy all 3rd party support on Wii U, lol that didn't last), and Liberation on Vita. Probably two of the worst games. Watched my friend play 2 and Brotherhood though back like 8 years ago. Ryuu said Black Flag would be a good start, so I might start with that one.

Might get AC Valhalla when it goes on sale.

Graphics wise, it doesn't look next-gen, it is clearly cross-gen, but I still see several improvements over Odyssey, especially with the quality of the grass, which was kind of poor quality in Odyssey and looks denser and better in Valhalla. The games aren't Assassins Creed anymore.

What exactly does this mean? Less stealth? less free running?

AC4 is definitely a good starting point, at least if you're not too worried about the modern day storyline, if you are you should play them in order of course, but if you're not, it's fine to start with 4. 4 is best of classic, action-adventure AC games in my opinion. Some say 2 is better, but I think they need to take their rose tinted glasses off, nostalgia is blinding them, alot of the mechanics in AC2 are really grindy and annoying, like needing to wipe notoriety constantly, and trying to hunt those damn feathers without an in-game collectible map.

My ranking from best to worst in the series:

  1. AC 4
  2. AC Odyssey
  3. AC 2
  4. AC Origins
  5. AC Syndicate
  6. AC Brotherhood
  7. AC 3
  8. AC Rogue
  9. AC 1
  10. AC Unity
  11. AC Revelations

Never got around to playing AC Liberation, which I probably should.

Wait so 4, Odyssey, and Origins have that "animus" (botched spelling probably) and/or continual story from past games?

Looking at TA wow, I had no idea there were so many AC games...guessing you never played AC India, China, or Russia, lol.
