Definitely going to wait until the patch for Edge of Eternity. Will download it though, keep it warm.

Looks like my guess was right on the money, Tom Henderson is saying that Warzone Mobile is in the works.

Edge of Eternity is a lot more rough than I expected it to be. What a shame.

Even in performance mode there are noticeable dips. It's really not that pretty either. Very rough animations and simple character face models and low res textures.
So far the voice acting has been the only stand out aspect of the game - and that's only because they're usually quite bad in JRPGs. (I know the game's not Japanese)

Seems like a mess:

It's by a small indie studio though, running on a meh engine (Unity) for 3D games, and never had a very big budget, I remember it making like $160k on Kickstarter, plus whatever they were able to raise independently, plus whatever Xbox paid them for day one gamepass. I think most of what they made went to pay their current staff a salary, I spoke with one of the devs about the poor animations like 3 years ago and he said they were only temporary, that the animations in the trailer were done by a non-animator on their staff and that they planned to hire a dedicated animator soon, but I don't think they ever hired an animator, because the animations look pretty much the same now as they did then.

They got bought by Nacon 2 days ago, hopefully they get more funding for their next project.

Sniper Elite 4 with all DLCs is currently on sale for $9 or €10.
The base game is currently included in Game Pass but it's still a good deal if you want the complete game.

btw that klob guy took his name from the klobb from goldeneye?

That makes 6 studios now for Zenimax Online actually, though only one of the 5 new studios is confirmed to be an independent team working on it's own game afaik.

  1. Zenimax Online Studios - Hunt Valley Maryland (original studio working on Elder Scrolls Online)
  2. Zenimax Online Studios - San Diego (1st new studio working on a new IP according to their job listings, though we've had separate rumors from 2 different insider sources saying that they are doing either a Star Wars Mandalorian game or a Planet of the Apes game in partnership with Disney)
  3. Zenimax Online Studios - Austin (the 2nd new Zenimax Online studio that appeared in job listings)
  4. Zenimax Online Studios - Madison Wisconsin (the 3rd new Zenimax Online studio that appeared in job listings)
  5. Zenimax Online Studios - Montreal (the 4th new Zenimax Online studio that appeared in Job listings)
  6. Zenimax Online Studios - Seattle (the 5th new Zenimax Online studio that appeared in job listings)

Hopefully these are all actually physical Zenimax Studios, rather than just developers working via remote with Zenimax Online out of other Xbox/Bethesda studios located in those cities.

I hope that they are working on multiple projects, only the New IP is confirmed that was known since 2018. If they aren’t working on multiple games then It confirms that the New IP is going to be a MMO.

It would be cool if they work on MMO lites and GaS games, the Montreal, Seattle, Austin and San Diego locations can be grown to a big size since there are a lot of talent in those cities.

That's pretty. I have the og xbox background at the moment but might switch it for this... I don't even play grounded. Lmao.

Beat Immortals. Game is kinda mid for me anyway. Characters, art style, and writing and humor were on point. Combat way too repetitive, and ffs way too many damn puzzles. You got to do puzzles in order to get to puzzles. Probably 60% puzzles. If it was an action adventure, hack and slash, or platform i would definitely like it more.

Does Platinum own the rights to Bayonetta though? I thought that IP was shared between Sega and Nintendo. Regardless, I think Platinum would be a good pickup by MS.

Only issue I see is all of Microsoft's recent acquisitions have been about acquiring IP and Platinum doesn't have any IPs worth anything so it may put Microsoft off.

But on the positive it gives them a stronger foothold in Japan which is a hard market to get into, the odds of Microsoft successful acquiring a major Japanese publisher are slim, Platinum also having no IPs worth anything would likely be a good thing in the current climate too because the acquisition would fly under the radar, FTC won't give a damn about them adding Platinum, it will barely move Xbox's overall revenue.

And I don't imagine Platinum would cost all that much to purchase either. Sony purchased Insomniac for $229 million and I can't think of Platinum costing anywhere near that.
