Forums - General Discussion - Should I buy a X Box One X on Black Friday

If you like MS first party or play plenty of Multiplatform games sure is a good idea.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

If you're set on getting an Xbox One, then the X is definitely the one I would get personally. The base console runs games pretty eh in general. That said if you're simply just collecting as your OP implies then just get the base console as you can get them really cheap right now.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a console just for the sake of collecting, but since that's your thing, then I don't see how you can skip the X. It would leave a gap in your collection.

Get the X and Gamepass. The best looking console games, and the best value in gaming as far as services go. There are loads of X Enhanced games on there and even OG Xbox titles.

Nope, not one X game looks better than an exclusive. Death stranding is the best looking console game, PC will make it look even better.

Nah, not at all, but I'm not really going to bother bogging down a thread by going off topic and arguing graphics with you. Especially when you have such a flawed position to begin with :)

Thanks for all your replies everyone, i ended up buying the Xbox One X after all.

Have 10 days off from work around Christmas so I thought that I might as well gift myself some 4K binge gaming :P

Resolution does not equal graphics, he was right.

1440p PS4 exclusive like TLOU 2 or Uncharted looks better than Gears 5 or Sea of Thieves in native 4K.

I don't think he was just talking exclusives.

But to avoid that debate, I clarify it generally has the best looking multiplats and has more content achieving 4K.
