I just started a 733mb porn download on Fileboom as a free user that had an initial estimated download time of 7 hours, begin it's download time at 53 minutes. That's it for the year.

And for the sake of accuracy in the OP, Nov 28 is not Thanksgiving in Canada.

Most important - I'm thankful that all of my friends and loved ones are safe and relatively healthy. I'm thankful that my infant son has progressed nicely through his first ten months, and has filled my life with joy.

Now, to the more interesting stuff....

I'm thankful that MS provided a way for me (and so many others) to convert out XBL subscriptions to Gamepass Ultimate. That got me three years of GP for about $160. It also (presumably) game a great boost to the subscriber base to the service, and gave a bunch of people a bunch of great games to play.

I'm thankful that Gears 5 is on Gamepass. This caused me to finally try a Gears game, which in turn caused me to realize Gears 5 is a great game.

I'm thankful that Switch has sold well, which means that quality, portable gaming will continue to exist for the foreseeable future.

I'm thankful that Best Buy had Astrobot Rescue Mission on sale, which caused me to finally pick it up. I'm further thankful that the game is great - the best VR game I've played on any system, I think.

I'm thankful that we're now less than a year away from the release of the next generation of consoles. I can't fucking wait!

I am thankful for a smart group of posters who remind me to better scan Wikipedia articles before I post.  But hey, at least I got it right that Canada does celebrate it.  And so does Germany according to the same article.  But what do I know, I'm just a culture blind American that thinks everything that we do the rest of the world does.  I'll blame the exceptionalist training they give us from kindergarten to our senior year of high school.  Those habits die hard.
