So will we be recharging the controller every 3-4 hours like the PS4 one?

My Pro-controller for my Switch last for atleast 25-30 hours

1st gen PS4 controllers definitely lasted 4-5 hours MAX. Typically 3-4. But the one I bought last year for Cmas regularly last me almost a full day marathon session (I am confident in saying it last 8 hours easily). I have an older controller that last 3-5 hours that I only use while the new one is charging.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Erm selling accessories to a top selling product isnt that hard to achieve. If the PS4 was a hard sell and still sold ton loads of controllers than i agree.

Gamers buy controllers all the time not just because its purple. With over 100m PS4s sold in the world, that is alot of customers. When controllers break or with the DS4 Battery being rendered useless and no way of changing it can lead to easy sales etc. Controllers sell for dozens of reasons andi would highly doute the DS4 is selling so well because of its analog stick placements.

There is a reason companies flock to make accessories for a top selling product, most accessories dont even have to be good yet can achieve amazing sales results. Look at the Wii or the Kinect for the 360.

It's not about how well ds4 controllers sell in itself. But rather that they,  as having a symmetrical layout, are selling in relation to assymmetrically designed alternatives.

Consumers have the choice to choose a different controller, but most aren't.

There is something inherently amusing about people telling me I'm wrong about which type of controller I find to be the most comfortable.

Now, you're just coming up with excuses. Here's the facts. There are plenty of asymmetrical controllers for the PS4, both officially licensed and 3rd party. People, in the 10s of millions, are choosing the DS4 over all of them when they need another controller, either for a 2nd player or because it broke. This is a conscious choice.

As much as Xbox fans and sometimes Nintendo fans (only when Nintendo doesn't choose symmetrical) may not like to admit it, symmetrical is the preferred controller. Or, best case scenario, people really just don't give a shit and will adapt to whichever.

Xbox Two?

Atleast PS5 still has some odd stuff it does like VR ect.
Also its "remember history" + being able to play PS1,2,3,4,5 games ect.

I think theres enough that it wont go down as "unexciting" when they unvail it.

Xbxo Scarlett will be backwards compatible with all Xbox One games, as well as the current Xbox 360 and OG Xbox backwards compatible games on the Xbox One. Current accessories will also work on the Scarlett. Source.

From what little we know about PS5 and Scarlett both companies are continuing what they have been doing and make them more powerful and even closer to a PC.

Sony has finally found their way again, thank god for that. I've been a little worried that they might get ideas to try something "exciting" and f up everything.

Because many still like it, and you know people, animals and most stuff is as close to symmetrical as possible right?

What I do know in gaming is that keyboard + mouse is as asymmetrical as can be and still, a lot of people think it's the best controller.

I don't see how, but I guess you get used to anything.

No, we will be using two controllers, so that one is always charged up and ready to go.

well my hands are symmetrical, so I prefer it.

The thing is your hands are not when you play with a DS4. My hands, in the other hand, are symmetrically positioned on my controller, thanks to my asymmetrical joysticks. It's called "ergonomics"

Do you realize how stupid that sounds? "My symmetrical hands are symmetrically positioned on an asymmetrical controller". That is not ergonomics, mate. Either your hands are not symmetrical, or you're holding the controller at a slight angle to accommodate the asymmetrical joysticks.

The truth is probably that the discrepancy between your joysticks is so minimal, that it doesn't really affect anything and you are used to that type of controller. But there's no way that a symmetrical design would be less ergonomic for beings with symmetrical appendages.

Why dont you ask the PC gamers which controllers they prefer to game on, since PC has the option for both 360/XB1 and DS4 controllers and you will be suprised.

Also 3rd party controllers never sell aswell as the stock controllers. That same argument can also be use for Xbox owners who also have the choice between analog placements yet still buy the stock controllers.
