Forums - PC Discussion - Looking to ugrade GPU from 1080ti

Waiting for the 30 series sounds like the better idea tbh. it's what I'm doing myself, as a fellow 1080ti owner.

Wait, for Big Navi.

Consider it a rumor but Nvidia might very well not be releasing a new series of video cards soon after all ...

I guess you could just upgrade to the RTX 2080Ti Super and once Ampere will soon launch you could just sell the RTX 2080Ti super but getting the timing right will be a hassle ...

I have a 1080 Ti FTW3 card, and I wouldn't dream of updating to a 2080 Ti.. The boost in performance isn't significant enough to justify it.

The only choices you have to actually feel the upgrade are RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2080 Ti.

Bit the bullet... Now a proud owner of a 2080ti.. 😁. Got the card I wanted for $950, basically brand-new. Time to sell off the 1080 ti. I will say.. metro is badass with the ray tracing... I'm going to cry..

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

Best of luck with it.

Regardless of what comes next thats an incredibly capable card and you're going to be playing games with extraordinary graphical fidelity for years.
