Wow, you must have gone to a lot of trouble there. Thanks a lot! Shows my data wasn't quite accurate. Very interesting nonetheless. Once Mario is broken down, its's not even best selling franchise! 3D Mario is about 5th! Also, i'm surprised Mario + Sonic is lumped in at all with Mario. It's chiefly a Sega franchise from what I can find. Couldn't find who owns the IP tho

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

I wouldn't say this thread nor D'Angelo's article have been swarmed by downplayers though as ratolmc literally is the only user not congratulating Nintendo/praising Nintendo's profits compared to PS/Xbox. And that's a good thing! I see far too many downplayers in other threads. Some users could learn a thing or two :)

By this point the main users here on VGChartz who constantly downplayed Nintendo (Quickrick, Lawlight, Kerotan) have been banned; when they were around these kind of threads would be completely derailed every time.

Yeah. Good point. And that's so good to see! Nintendo threads have become far more constructive since.

Now we need to make PS and MS threads become more constructive

Not having frequented those threads I'm not familiar with what the situation is there, but in our case, making sure to report users who constantly trash-talk and stealth troll was effective; it took some time but eventually they were given the boot.

Yeah.. I dunno. It doesn't seem to work. It's really only a few users ruining it for the majority. Some have been banned many times but for some reason manage to avoid a perma.

But enough of me bitching. I'm free to leave if I don't like it here.

I'd like to have it broken down into averages per variation. Cause some of these are newer franchises.

You forgot p0isonparadise also showed Nintendo 1st party software number in his post, not just Nintendo hardware number. But ratolmc replied with just Sony hardware number, that's why i asked him about Sony 1st party software number too. If anything, you need to go to doctor to check your eyes first. If you Sony fans want to play down Nintendo achievement, you need to try a lot and a lot better
