Anyway. If somebody could clarify the new site changes that I am ignorant of. When I search games and click on one it shows total shipment numbers, not sales numbers? Are these different than the old global sales figures for that game?

Also I'm not seeing the old software weekly sales. Only shipments. Used to be weekly Global/regional releases for hardware as well as software. Most likely I am just dumb/blind but if somebody would kindly explain I would appreciate it :)

basically the site switched to confirmed shipment numbers only for software a while back, which means it's not as frequently updated anymore but at least we know it's 100% accurate now since it's from official reports. and the weekly software sales charts aren't a thing anymore either, only hardware now.

Follow up question, so searching games for example i search Uncharted. It shows, in order of sales/shipments for all uncharted games.

Right now U4 is top of that search with like 10 million, and it says as of last year 2018.

However if i click on U4 it shows a more recent 2019 update, and closer to 16 million. Why is this?

I'm not completely sure since I don't pay attention to it all, but I would guess it's just that the 10 million sales it shows before clicking on Uncharted 4 was the last it was tracked to back when they were doing weekly sales before switching to shipments and I guess it was just left there lol. The shipments are what is current nowadays, so to your previous question then no they are not the same, sales are basically just the old outdated figures, shipments are the new accurate ones that get updated. :P 

I still remember you from last year, at best? Charts have been dead for quite a few years now.

On the remembering thing: I remember you from the before times, in the long long ago. And I remember you returning a few months back. I couldn't remember if you returned as a Switch fanboy, or an Xbox fanboy though. Had to look that up. Did you sell your Switch, or is your sig out of date?

Last official numbers for Uncharted 4, is 16.2+ million back in 31/03/19.
Its been half a year..... its bound to be higher now.

The Last Of Us Remastered: 11.8+ million at 31/03/19 (~19m total with PS3 )
Uncharted 4 A Thief's End: 16.2 million at 31/03/19
Spider-Man: 13.2 million at 28/07/19
God Of War: 11 million at 31/03/19
Horizon Zero Dawn: 10 million at 28/02/19
Ratchet & Clank Remake: 4.83 million at 30/06/18
Gran Turismo Sport : 3.38 million at 05/05/18 (as of now ~8 million)
Detroit: Become Human: over 3 million at 29/1/19

Until dawn, and bloodborn did okay too, but cant remember the numbers, and havnt written them down.

The games get all updated one by one by hand now if new data comes in if I understood correctly. That's pretty tedious and does take a lot of time to update the entire game library on VGC...

Ps4 somewhat collecting dust but not due to lack of good games. I don't have a lot of time these days for gaming and my switch has become my primary console. Just beat Cuphead after many rage sessions and about to enjoy the new Zelda game.
