They might as well write what you have done in the past, like this;
"You just ate a cookie", which could be wrong as well seeing as how some just open the cookie and don't eat it.
Is there research on this? Amount of cookie-openers-who-don't-eat-the-cookie statistics? Would sure be interesting.

My cousin & I have this joke where at the end of every fortoune you add "in bed"
It's pretty immature, & doesn't always work, but it's funny none the less.

It's not just you two...prettysure half the population does it...and it always works hehe.  Just some are funnier than others.  I'll read a few I have saved:

"You will have great success with business partners."
"You will be on good terms with friends and family." (ew haha)
etc.

There isn't research yet, but I'm writing my thesis on this very subject. I had never heard about the 'in bed' addition until now, pretty entertaining. Also, I don't believe in a priori wrong or right.
