Some Reviews

Eurogamer

Fire Emblem goes back to school for the most epic, generous and dynamic outing for the series yet. [Eurogamer Recommended]

IGN - 95

Fire Emblem: Three Houses succeeds in its ambitious telling of a land at war helmed by captivating leaders, in which no side has all the answers. Its tense battles are made all the more harrowing thanks to new strategy elements, and the colorful cast of troops you send into the fray are incredibly charming. With a new take on training and bonding with your units, and the many activities and options available to sample, it’s absolutely begging to be played multiple times.

Gamespot - 90

When all was said and done, all I could think about was starting another playthrough.

Guardian - 80

It all adds up to a new lease of life for one of Nintendo’s younger series, bolstered by revised combat and a gorgeous new look that endows these 3D characters with the grace and style of older games’ portrait art. By turns grandiose and silly, but always engrossing, this bubbling school soap opera is a game to spend a summer with.

Odd, I was told by a VG expert that FE 3 Houses was lazy and uninspired.

"The saddest part about this is that two of those games have been received quite poorly by their fanbase and are seen as unambitious cash grabs"

Lol.

Overall sounds like it really does take advantage of the upgrade from 3DS to Switch, especially with the choosing a side aspect compared to Fates.

Does anyone have comparisons to other FE titles?

Awakening is 92 and it is the highest rated FE game.

The Graphics/texture and frame rate issues should be the main issues of the game from what I've seen.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Fates was 88 I believe, so pretty much equaling their last game. Not bad at all, IS.

Going by what I've read on some reviews, it has more to do with the combat being too easy and simple. It appears that easy and normal difficulties are so accesible that many people turn on automatic battles because it hardly makes a difference between that and playing by yourself. Apparently the triangle weapon system is gone, and with it, the combat has become kind of a joke on easy and normal difficulties. Hard is the way to go even if you suck at these games.

For those reading the reviews, do NOT read the Kotaku review, there's a freaking spoiler in the first two paragraphs.

They gave it a strong recommendation, you're welcome if you care.

95 from Destructoid

8.5 from Easy Allies

9.5 from Game Informer

My top three review sources love this game!

Also, remember when people thought Three Houses was lazy? Because they had seen a 2 minute trailer covering the school section of the game? lololololololol!

Nintendo’s best IP deserves more!!

Ok I told myself if it was rated 85+, I would buy the game. Guess I’m getting it tomorrow
