Black panther: 1.34 billion

Infinity war: 2.04 billion

Ant man 2: 622 million

Captain marvel: 1.12 billion

Endgame: 2.79 billion (so far)

Spiderman: 971 million (should pass 1 billion by end of week)

It has been a crazy two years for marvel. Will there next film make over 1 billion, will they ever have a more successful year than 2019, will they start declining soon. It'll be interesting to see where they go from here. 

It's a crazy two-year run for the MCU. Hell, its been a helluva 11-year run for the whole Infinity Saga. While we have seen great trilogies and series of films (i.e., Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, etc.), this stretch of 11-years and 20+ films that has grossed over $22+ billion is unheard of. This is like the DC animated series stretch from the 90s to 00s from Batman: The Animated Series to Justice League Unlimited, but on steroids and on the silver screen. We will likely never see anything like this again. This requires a great commitment from company big-wigs to the cast and crew and a little luck in creating great films and having great fan reception.

Supposedly, the MCU's next film will be Black Widow. Will that reach $1 billion? As popular as MCU Black Widow and Scarlett Johansson are, it will be a tough call if there is a possibility that some fans will eventually drop out of watching future MCU films as the Infinity Saga comes to an end. I do wonder how long Marvel Studios can keep this up considering long-time favorites such as Captain America and Iron Man are no longer going to be key contributors in future MCU films (unless, somehow, either RDJ or Chris Evans come back).

As of now, they have a plethora of MCU content coming up. Will these films (and Disney+ exclusive series) continue the ongoing success? It will be interesting moving forward.

I'm not sure whether the 2020 mcu movies will make 1b dollars. I think they'll both definitely reach the 800m mark. For 2021 I think all have a good shot for 1b. Shang Chi will do 600m in China, 250m in USA and 300m rest of world. Spider Man 3 will do 1b, Doctor Strange will do around 850m I think. Thor 4 might Crack 1b

Infinity War and Endgame have kind of made all of the films really profitable. In phase 1 and phase 2 there were lots of films not crossing $1 billion. Now it is kind of expected. It's really because it's a whole universe. There are enough people out there that consider most Marvel movies to be "must see".

Basically Kevin Feige had a really smart plan. It took about 10 years to pull off, but now it is seriously paying off at the box office. The popularity of the Avengers films spills over to make the other MCU films make $1 billion or more.

And now that is all over after Endgame and the mediocre mehh and woke era of Marvel is ahead.. no thanks :))

They have peaked and this will never be repeated again.

So many people love Marvel, and it's something I really want to get into, but I've just never been a big fan. I haven't seen any of the movies on this list. The movies that I have seen are usually good, but in terms of the IP, I'm not partial to superhero movies.

I think we're going to start seeing a decline going forward. Some characters, like Spider-Man, the GOTG, and possibly X-Men, may hit $1B+, but I'd guess that some others may not. Really Black Widow should have been done before Endgame, as she is one of the OG members, instead of focusing on Captain Marvel and using Endgame hype to boost her film.

Personally I'm growing tired of Superhero movies. But I get the logic here. Those movies are super successful so it's only natural that they will be making way more of them. In the meantime as a moviegoer I am getting lost and confused in the Superheroes universe, I don't know anymore which is which and the stories are branching off in all possible directions in such a chaotic way that it stopped making sense to me.

I think the moment I realized that something was wrong was with Batman vs Superman. It dawned in me that everything in the Superheroes universe is so messed up that the writers don't even know what kind of story they want to make and they end up with the most preposterous concept they could ever come with: Pitting superheroes against each other.

Why the hell would Batman want to take on Superman? No matter how dark a superhero Batman is, if he's so far gone that he can't see that Superman is not the enemy, I think it's time for Batman to retire...

As for the other movies, now it's a huge mess of 20 Superheroes in the same movie, vs some enemy which means you don't even know who that particular movie is about and I would not be surprised if in the near future those movies will be about a group of Superheroes pitted against another group of Superheroes, including betrayals, associations, negotiations etc.

So while I don't rule out watching the occasional Superhero movie on Netflix with popcorn on an evening I'm bored and have nothing better to do, I am certainly not watching them all anymore with the fervor of the fan I used to be many years ago.

Whatever happens, I hope when the Cinema era ends, Endgame gets dethroned. I don't want the highest grossing film to be a comic book film. It cheapens the comics, undermining the fact that they should always excel where they came from... and also makes it seem as if all we cared about was funny flicks.
