Tifa looks so beautiful. The combat system looks super fun and I really like the idea of the tactical mode, nice that the environment plays a role during battle. Let's hope that the difficulty is not that easy (difficulty settings would be great) and that the enemies aren't huge HP sinks because that would make battles drag on for too long.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but....

FFVII has the potential to become the greatest video game of all-time all over again for me. Just like it was back in 1997 until FFVIII came out.
I mean, the nostalgia is SO REAL with this one. I think I might seriously flip out when I first start playing this.
Everything looks totally 1:1 identical with the original one. I saw shots of Aerith's house and BOOM instantly recognized it. They're nailing it to a tea. Seems Square is actually trying really hard to make this a masterpiece, because that's exactly the kind of vibes I'm getting from the E3 presentation. This game feels larger than life. Can't even imagine what the world map is going to look like, ohhhh geez...the hype is just too much this time. I really gotta go out of the way in order to try and stop thinking about this game....

I hope we have more cool banter and exchanges like these during battles and stuff.

Don't be too sure about that, they (SE) must still have a lot of cards up their sleeve. The hype needs to be turned up beyond the '11' they already reached yesterday.

I am so hyped right now, the conference was great. It looks like they will succeed in giving the story it's emotional charge through dialogues and cutscenes. Deepening out the chacracters of Avalanche and building up to an awesome ending of part 1. There may even be tears involved...

That is why I said "it seems" because they still could have it in the game. But we indeed got no victory fanfare in those trailers, so we can consider the possibility there won't be any.

I still have massive reservations for obvious reasons but if they keep to the comedy of FF7, then they'll have restored some of them. There is so much comedy in FF7 that I fear we'd lose because of modern serious SquEnix.

FF12 lacked it for the most part too, as that was an open exploration/battle as well. They did however add it at the end of larger bosses or summon kills so I can see them adding it for bosses in this at least.

After bosses like FF12, perhaps?

The ONE thing I'm sure isn't going to make it is Red XIII passing as a Shinra soldier. Which was bad to me even as a young teen.
