It could easily be done, it would just need more work than a bump down in resolution.

Possible to do? Yes. Easily done? Not at all.

All of this completely ignore the difference in architecture, though, which affects performance and the entire graphics pipeline. Just looking at the raw numbers and approximating the benchmarks will NOT give you a clear idea, because it can never be 1:1.

But can give you a ballpark of what cuts may be needed to run it and if it wil be acceptable.

Well apparently it must be easy enough!  😏

wolfenstein 2 also drops to a similar resolution when docked, and it is a 60fps game on the ps4. This makes me really worried about the framerate.

Us Nintendo fans are so blessed.

Look at all these people that are so worried for us and the poor performance, resolution, quality we will get with this game. I mean, i know most the people saying it will be unplayable won't buy it, let alone probably don't even have a Switch, so it's so thoughtful of you guys to be so worried about our gaming experience.

Dunno, but at least is being done =]

Just saw some of Digital Foundry's trailer analysis. It makes me think of Metal Gear Solid V on 7th gen, just a blurrier, muddier version of the same game.

Well, it took quite a hit if we're honest...it's extremely blurry and textures are very low res....for my taste, it's an eyesore.
But, RDR on PS3 was an eyesore as well...so I guess if you're not bothered with that too much, it's the same TW3.

Personally, I would love to see downporting done some other way, with reworked art style, but that would be too expensive.

Why does it feel like some of you are pained by the notion that Nintendo Switch owners will get to play one of your sacred games?

Instead of - "Cool. Hope you guys enjoy it like we did".

We get - "I want it to be unplayable so bad I will spin a video about a potential version of said game just so I can indirectly mock your console".

Oh ,don't get me wrong, i'm pretty excited for it! it just looks much better than i expected, which is why i'm cautiously optimistic about the framerate.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe cel shaded graphics like BotW.

Instead it kinda just looks like MGSV on 7th gen. Functional but not great to look at.
