Forums - Movies & TV - Shazam! has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

From the trailers this movie just has too much cheesey humour for me. At this point I doubt the DC EU is going to win me over.

Tried be told, the only DC movie I didn't enjoy was Suicide Squad. I was already on board.

-and to whom it may concern, the only Marvel Movies I didn't enjoy were the Ant Man films (the jokes didn't work) and the second Thor.

Once Zack Snyder left, Wb is slowly picking up.

Very nice.  If the DCFU can hit 80% with its next two movies, I'll give it another chance.

This movie looks really good, and I hope it does well. Not sure if it was wise of them to release so close to the Avengers movie, but I hope it does well nonetheless.

Maybe it'd help if they retconned out Batman V. Superman, Suicide Squad and Justice League, because those were terrible.

And that's precisely why I require the DCFU to have three consecutive movies at 80% or higher before I give it another chance.  Its foundation was just so consistently terrible that it retroactively tainted the Nolan Trilogy.  I'm not going to start following a cinematic universe on the merits of its outliers.  It needs demonstrable consistency in the quality of its film making and storytelling.  But if the DCFU takes too long to reach that target, it'll be too contextualized with mediocrity and failure to be worthy of my time.

A retcon could help them design a world where the odds were not so stacked against its artistic value, but they'd still need to prove themselves able to consistently make decent movies.

The trailer did not work for me personally. To be honest after watching the trailer I thought it looked horrible. That being said they will still get my money since I have a group of friends that we go to the Thursday night release of every film that anyone in the group wants to see and there a number of people in the group looking forward to it.

I hopeful my impression from the trailer is just wrong since, I thought spider man - into the spider verse looked horrible after watching the preview that was at the end of Venom but after watching the movie I thought it was extremely good so I open to possibility I will enjoy it.

I'm very much looking forward to this movie. Critics don't influence me one way or the other. I very rarely find myself agreeing with them anyways.

I mostly read reviews from different kind of critics and see how much importance their negatives and positives have on me,im mostly able to measure how much i will be enjoying a movie or game with some rare exceptions like damn NiNoKuni 2 (I will be salty about it for a while :( )

I guess Wonder Women and Aquaman weren't flukes. So it was just Zack that was holding the DC Cinematic Universe back. I still don't trust DC but it is looking like they are finally turning things around.

rotten tomatoes are a joke! They didn't even allow people to properly review captain marvel just to make the user rating look good.
