It blows my mind that it doesn't seem like people aren't appreciating how disruptive this is. Convenience is king, and being able to play anything anywhere, being backed by a company as big as Google is going to rock gaming. I'm personally excited for this.
I mean, for those that never want to deal with having anything at all, and simply streaming everything to a receiver, then that's their go to plan, but for people like me, who want their digital downloads and games installed, and not streamed, let alone those who love physical, we're well and truly out of luck.
Also, for a streaming box, they sure like to tout TF power, yet it's designed to primarily stream content, rather than running it directly off the box itself.
This just comes off as a wannabe teevo box trying to muscle into the console market, yet at the same time they don't want to play with the big boys, but want to appeal to the normies instead.
Can't say I'm impressed.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Erm, how does US have data caps? I'm in the UK, they do not exist.
My issue is if I have a PS5, why would I need this? Also wondering if the resolution scales, macbook pro has a strange one.

Whats so great about it? I don't mind gaming on a console. I don't want to play God Of War on my phone or a laptop. I don't go out and suddenly get desperate to play a game. I just wait until I get home where Im comfortable.

What's convenient about being able to play anywhere if it requires a mobile internet connection that's prohibitively expensive, has lag issues, and potentially is full of ads like youtube is?
Ive got a feeling PS5 and Xbox are gonna be the same.The box is gonna be an option. The real difference will be:
1. Games, exclusive games.
2. Streaming quality and lettency
3. Pricing. Do you pay for service and you can play all games or you have to pay for the games separatley. Or mix of both as i can't belive that big AAA games are gonna be included in normal pricing.

It happens every time. Digital gaming sucks why would I download a 7 GB game while I can just put a disc and play it? Download a few games and I will soon reach my data cap!
