Forums - Politics Discussion - Official 2020 US Election: Democratic Party Discussion

Biden is winning the "popular vote" as well. Bloomberg still in front of Warren, so he got something for his $600M.

Joseph R. Biden Jr. 4,645,537
Bernie Sanders 3,771,103
Elizabeth Warren 1,681,150
Michael R. Bloomberg 1,753,774
Tulsi Gabbard 85,311

I don't like to play the identity politics game, but I also hate hypocrisy. After securing a delegate, sounds like the Democrats are going to again change the delegate threshold so Tulsi is boxed out of the next debate.. Funny how just recently they had no problem LOWERING the bar for another rich old white dude Bloomberg to make a debate but are now actively trying to exclude the only women of color currently in the running. The party of "diversity" and "inclusivity" my ass.

Wish they'd at least be honest and say "we only like diverse voices if they toe the line, do exactly what we say, and believe exactly what we believe."

The moment she got it they came up and were like "nope". Its so blatant how it is and they even lied about it. There is 0 and I mean 0 reasons to keep her off the stage especially with the amount of people left in the race but they refuse because they know she'll knife the hell out of the establishment.

I'm even willing to concede - if Tulsi is allowed in this debate (especially with so few candidates left), is actually allowed to speak, and STILL widely unpopular - that she should officially just drop out and back Bernie. But I truly believe much of the reason between this distance between her and the other candidate is that most of the "common folk" simply do not know about her. There's what seems to be this widespread, coordinated blackout effort, thus nobody's heard of her. And of those few who HAVE, I'd wager most have only heard about her through the occasional smear and thus are told they're supposed to hate her without actually knowing what she's about. Her podcast and Rogan show appearances are great, but unfortunately seem to still be hitting a relatively small number of eyes and ears compared to TV.

I mean hell, one popular TV special featuring Ross Perot propelled him to an almost 19% vote total in the general in '92.

My thing isn't even about her doing well, my thing is that unlike Bernie, Tulsi has that killer instinct and she would end Biden and Warren if she doesn't drop out on the spot. They refuse to have her on stage because she speaks truth. Bernie has too much influence to keep off but Tulsi? They'll do what they can and there are a lot of people I somewhat blame for the treatment of Tulsi even in some so called independent media outlets. (tyt)

Trump spend half the money of HER in 2016 and won.

Bernie outspend Biden 4:1 and lost so far.

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/02/politics/super-tuesday-ad-spending/index.html

Now how that is relevant to what I said unless you are agreeing with me that trying to buy the presidency doesn't work.

Bloomberg is unlike Trump, winning with spending less vs losing with spending more.

The race is still open, we are barely at the 30% line.

How could anyone seriously trust him with solving the problems with our corrupt healthcare industry???

This article explains the big 3 reasons why doctors support Medicare for all and not a public option, which Biden supports, but of course these professional opinions will fall on deaf ears to some.
