I loved these series from a long time ago. This was my way of dealing with the loss of Shenmue.

For me, there no other game that comes close to building a believable living world the way Shenmue and Yakuza do. Although people praised the wither for its side quests, yakuza has been given the same amount of appreciation. The variety of gameplay elements along with the story and combat mechanics make it one of the best franchise for me. I get it though that not everyone is into the kind of humour yakuza series offers and those looking fur an online experience might not give it a second thought.

the side stories are great and varied. Minigames are of the most diverse and funny.

And yes the game is well knit and make the fabric of that reality quite believable.

And I have to say that playing Kiwami throw me back to that first game and mindset, and I totally love the game again to the point of just needing the very expensive weapon and accessories to plat the game (well also need a new playthrough on Legendary, do Climax Battles, but those will be pleasant). The mini-games are fun, the story is grandious while also being very humane. The protagonist is charismatic, very noble and the people he meets are relatable.

Yakuza = One of the best Gaming-Series of all time. Why ? Because: Story/Gameplay/Characters/Minigames/Atmosphere are awesome.

Love Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza Zero and Yakuza 4 so much! Yakuza 5 and Kiwami (1) too. Part 3 was only "okay". Yakuza 6, the end was soooo emotional & sad *-*

Kazuma Kiryu is a true hero.

I've only played Yakuza Zero so far, but I absolutely love the game, and I'm very much looking forward to getting into the rest of the series in the near future. One of my favourite open world games I've played. I love the way the world in the game is designed, being on the smallish side as far as open worlds go, but still feeling big because of how much interesting stuff there is to do.

Its time for Yakuza Kiwami (2) Kiwami2 has the new Yakuza 6-Graphic Engine (PS4-Power) : )

Yes, they have a great balance and most of the content is fun, with a lot of jokes and unique things to this series.

My fav couldn't be other than Kazuma, a role model for the good person that follow his ideal doesn't mater the situation or problem he is in.

I enjoyed the first two on the PS2. Fell out of the series with 3. Tried to get back into it with Yakuza 0, but I just don't find them fun anymore.

That is unfortunate. If you manage to get 6, play it, because it gets to the good part much earlier than 0.

I thought Ishin was great, has some of the best gameplay of the whole franchise. But I found the story to be a bit of a mess, though I do need to replay it since better guides for it have come out since. However, I found Kenzan to have one of the best stories in the series and has a pretty good game as well, since it is basically a less polish Ishin.

Also my favorite characters in the series are, Kiryu, Majima, and Ryuji Goda.

Think so too :)

My favorite characters are:

1. Kazuma Kiryu

2. Akiyama

3. Tachibana <3

My favorite Bossfight/Enemy is the golden Dragon from Yakuza Kiwami 2, Ryuji Goda :)

And the number 1 Women is hard to say... Makoto (from Zero) or the wonderful women (detective) with the tragic story(Kiwami 2), Kaoru Sayama.

Yakuza Zero is a dark game with a emotional end. Try Yakuza Kiwami 2 or Yakuza 6 with the new Graphic-Engine ; ) It looks impressive!
