Great month for Switch and really bad month for XBO. I wonder had the XBO any bundles or discounts in January?

XB1 $50 price cut towards the end of the month and I believe the xbox x was $399 which crazily is the price of the PS4 Pro. Not only are Sony heavily outselling them but the profit margin must be insanely better.

God Damn, Switch had an amazing January this year!
PS4 did fine.
XBO.... ouch.

Edit: Wow, I guess Kingdom Hearts 3 and Resident Evil 2 didn't really do much of anything for the PS4 and Xbox One. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, I mean they are over 5 years old and the majority of the Resident Evil crowd was already on the systems thanks to 7. But Kingdom Hearts... I was expecting more of an effect than that. If that's really it, than the YoY drop for those 2 systems are gonna be bigger than I thought.

Oh boy, if it weren't for that then the Xbox would of likely been sub 100K.

I hope ps4 is doing good numbers in Europe. The switch is a beast

To be fair January 2018 had big games too.

2018-Monster Hunter World, Dragonball Fighter Z, EA Sports UFC 3

2019-Kingdom Hearts 3, Resident Evil 2, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown

I think software is a wash so PS4 only being down 4% on a weekly average is very good.

Nice, so switch was up on last year with a whole week less to track right?

Yep on a weekly average

NSW up 31.5%

PS4 down 4%

XBO down 46.3%

Here it is compared purely by month January 2018 vs 2019:

NSW up +3%
PS4 down -23%
XB1 down -57%

Damn Switch did really well with basically no new game. February looks pretty good based on the tool and the 35$ eshop deal will make it so the Switch keep it's momentum until the next big games.
PS4 pretty much stable in the US, although it's down a lot in Japan and so WW.
Nothing will really help these 2 consoles in february since Anthem and Crackdown are performing terribly.

Switch definitely did amazing without any games really. PS4 did an average January, which is pretty good considering it is it's 6th January in the US, KH3 really pulling its weight keeping PS4 from being too far down. XB1 did about as expected of a 6th January but poor in comparison to PS4.

Results are in

NSW-284k
PS4-195k
XBO-101k

Yay! Japan was a good indication of how the holiday boost can still affect January. Almost outselling PS4  and X1 combined!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Switch being YoY up with one week less compared to last year is damn impressive.
