I hope this is considered good since I own both Legacy Collections 1+2 and Megaman 11 and I still want more.

Capcom said that the sales were either strong or selling well.So yeah, Capcom considers them good.

YUSSS!!! Now I can't wait for Megaman X9!

But how would the story to Megaman X9 go? X8 ended with Sigma getting killed on the moon and unable to come back this time, unless he got put on a copy chip.

That is why I think X needs a reboot.

The whole series story is a mess at this point.Characters appearing and dissapearing for no reason at all, with Dr. Cain being the best example of that; Some plot point never being explained as to who saved X at the end of X5(even if the game heavily implies it was Dr. Light); and the biggest of them all:How the hell is Sigma still being alive/being able to be ressurected?I mean, he was supposidely killed in X 3, when Zero injects into him the anti Sigma virus. After that game, Sigma just comes back with no explanation at all, and the gang(X, Zero, and all the Maverick Hunters) are like "Ok, Sigma is just like that".

But one step at a time.If X9 is easier to do than to try to do a reboot, then just do it.If you manage to explain everything in X9 Capcom, even better.

Hm, for some reason I thought it was said that Mega Man 11 was in development for 5 years. I knew that it couldn't have been 5 years of straight up production, but I still thought it was a 5 year development time. Apparently it was only around 2.5 actually, haha. https://gearnuke.com/mega-man-11-development-team-40-people/

This is good. Capcom needs to start utilizing it's nicher franchises more. They used the sales of DMC 4 SE/DMC Collection and the Mega Man collection to dictate whether these projects and ideas should come to fruition, so hopefully we can get ... a new Okami? Also hope that Onimusha does well

I've been wanting a new Onimusha forever it was my favorite ps2 series. I would've got the Onimusha remaster if it was a collection instead of just 1 game

What platforms was it on?

Have you looked at old Mega Man sales? The best selling entry of all time is only 1.51 million.

And that number comes directly from Capcom.

I honestly hadn't. I didn't realize it never sold that well. Kinda like Metroid then. Interesting. Thanks for the info Zorg!

No problem and ya it's crazy that such a beloved and well known IP like Mega Man has never been a real big seller.

On their site it says there has been 148 releases (I'm assuming this includes rereleases?) and the franchise has sold 33 million.

I just can't freaking wait for Megaman X9. I have been waiting for that game for most of my life. I'm 21 and it's so damn exciting to think that we might be really close to it. I wanna see X, Zero and Axl again in action. I hope more success comes to my favourite gaming franchise. I want to play as zero in the same artstyle as the X series but a new adventure. The new design of zero really didn't sit well with me in Megaman Zero. But I would love a legacy collection of Megaman zero as well. I'm just over the moon thinking about X9. As most people have been waiting for games like kingdom hearts 3 or mother 3 in the west, I've been waiting for this just to give you an idea of how much the X franchise means to me

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

Bit lower sales than I thought it would have, but its good to hear they are impressed by the sales of MM11.
