Some hints for those who are going to play Leon's side of things:

- Avoid using the handgun to kill Zombies unless you're shooting them in the leg to knock them down in order to knife them to death or get passed.
- The shotgun is actually more useful in killing Zombies than anything else with head shots that's it's main use in the game, contrary to previous games it's not that good against bosses.
- Even more ironic is the handgun is really good against bosses especially when upgraded.
- Zombies don't actually break through boards as thought so boarded windows are permanent.
- Some Lickers move to different areas when you alert them an example is in the corridor with the dead officer with the radio if you run in then quickly run out the corridor when you go back in the Licker will be gone.
- An easy way to stall Mr. X is to use a flash grenade it stalls him for like 20 seconds.
- Once you get to the car park area for the first time it's about that point onward that you want to start stock piling a yellow gunpowder to store and turn into magnum rounds.

My only complaint so far... At the title screen, it doesnt say "Resident Evil" when you push start.

No, game is too scary and nearly gives me a heart attack every 2 minutes.. :/  I have to start over because i think i wasted too many bullets.

Haha, you wuss.

But yea, i started over. Received damage at the gas station isnt permanent and youll start with full health when leon and claire arrive at raccoon city... i think. A good start to save ammo. And the part you ve played through isnt as scary anymore...

I miss that RESIDENT EVIL on startup, critics have been far to lenient that should have seen the scores drop by 2 points.

UK Charts : Resident Evil 2 debuts on top with 18% less than RE7 (2 days for RE2R vs 5 days for RE7), 74% of sales on PS4.

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2019-01-27-resident-evil-2-debuts-at-no-1-in-uk-charts-again

""Resident Evil 2 has topped the UK sales charts – over 20 years since it last achieved the same feat. Capcom’s critically acclaimed remake couldn’t outperform the excellent Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, although it did still fare admirably at retail, especially when you consider that the 2017 survival horror launched on a Tuesday compared to the latest release's Friday. As always, this data only tracks physical salesNevertheless, the game performed best on the PlayStation 4 by a country mile at retail, with Sony’s system commanding a dizzying 74 per cent of the sales. It’s going to be fascinating to see how Kingdom Hearts III fares next week, because we’re expecting an even higher split for the Disney-themed role-playing release.""

 Really good news!

While not officially outselling RE7 on release, being only 18% behind taking into account the different release days, I would give the win to REmake.

Capcom says, "If Resident Evil 2 is successful, we will develop a RE3 remake."

Mr. X is programmed to be tethered to you so if you get too far from him or hit certain script triggers the game teleports him to you but in a weird way, rather than actually move him to your vicinity it simply spawns another Mr. X near by and despawns the other.

However the game can some times glitch and fail to despawn the previous Mr. X leading to this situation where the are two active in game.

Mr X in this remake has made the game go from great to highly annoying for me.The fright factor when he appears for the first time wears off quickly and he just becomes a constant headache...is there any way to permanently kill this motherfucker?

Not until the final encounter with him the best approach is to know where you need to go when you get away from him, you can bait his attacks out to get passed or use a flash grenade to stun him for like 12 seconds to get away.

This game is great, they did a really good job. My only two gripes that annoy me more than give me fun are two points.

1. Everything is a sponge. I shoot a zombie 5 times in the head and it doesnt die, then I got in the next room, grab an item and they're back up again and proceed to take another 2 shots to finally put down. Now when it takes 5-7 head shots just to take down one zombie(im not even playing on a hard mode btw), it becomes quite annoying.

2. Having to use the crane to knock off the monster birkin, its set on an AOE area for u, even a toe in it activates a cutscene of auto kill, but if hes clipped by it and hit and even staggers after being hit by it, it wont always send him into the cutscene either. That was annoying for me.

That's about the main things I've been annoyed at that have ruined some of the fun, more so #1 than #2. I havent had a problem with Mr X since hes so stupid and its fun to mess with him and make him walk into circles

... I'm so pissed off by the massive critical praise for no reason, ...

I am soooo impressed from the start, the ability to swap into Elza Walker's racer outfit immediately from the beginning without completing a playthrough.  Capcom knows their audience.

You can actually see her leathers getting wet in the rain.  Whoa!  Realistic.  She also reacts realistically while transitioning between covered and non-covered in the storm.  Did you see her Harley-Davidson bike?  Nice huh?  Her racer outfit is also realistically modeled [and] very detailed.

If you don't like those, it's okay.  Did you see those gas prices?  Com'on you gotta like those Mid-West gas prices from the late '90s right?  How'bout those cigarette prices?  I know, shocking ain't it!!?

And...on today's announcement of reaching 3 Millions units, in just 4 days...I decided to put in another order for an extra copy.  :)

This game...is fan service 101, my Friend. ~xoxoxo
