If Benji is only referring to Amazon sales, that would make a lot of sense as I believe there were much less stock for the PS4 this year. However, in terms of retail brick and mortar sales, everything points to there being a larger supply overall of PS4 units this year than last year, which would mean larger Black Friday sales than last year.

The issue was always going to be the Spiderman bundel's stock.  That's been doing the heavy lifting.  So while initial impressions of stock were strong, it's possible in the end it came up similar to or lower than last year's 199 deal.

It's the same for Switch, the MK8D and Pokemon bundles did the big numbers.  The shipment sizes of each will impact sales significantly.

In case of Switch, only Pokemon would push hardware sales in any case, but offcourse that BF deal and bundles also help a lot.

But that's the thing. We had Brickseek inventory numbers for Spiderman PS4 vs MK8D bundles, and it's a 5:1 ratio or greater in favor of Spider-man for all the Wal-Mart stores I checked. There were were 40-100 Spider-man bundles and there were 2-10 MK8D bundles. All are now showing as < 2 stock right now for each, but the much higher stock for Spider-man should lead it to an easy November NPD victory.

Well Switch wasnt selling only because BF deals, Pokemon pushing hardware sales hard and Switch has some other intresting bundles also, including Pokemon bundle.

Another update from Benji

"The 20 million dream for the Switch is very much alive"

That's very interesting because before November he was very skeptical that Switch will meat their 20m goal this FY.

A lot of people are/were myself included, but its clearly a lot of us underestimated the hype for Smash and Let's Go ended up getting very good of mouth and has been doing great on platforms such as Twitch in terms of viewers.

Talking about PS4, Benji said that Sony most likely shipped similar number of $199 PS4 units same like last Black Friday,
so he is now in stance that PS4 should have similar numbers like last year.

With all that on mind, Switch and PS4 could be much closer in November than people assume, I saw that most people (including me) assume that difference could be around 700k, but difference instead could be 200-300k.
With point that Switch will have strong December and stronger than PS4 in any case, hole year at end will be probably be very close between PS4 and Switch.

Including me, I was also saying that they will hardly meat their goal but that they will be close to it. But whats is interesting is that Benji changed his mind and that means that Switch relay has strong November.

Any cyber deals on amazon or they just do as they always do with their flash deals if others have deals?

Also @kerotan you should probably stop talking belittling Vgchartz on Resetera.. I though that much was clear since the last time. It also makes you a hypocrite since you are one of the biggest contributors in this very thread.

Not the first time he did that after ethomaz(his) was permanently banned someone needs to step up to take the throne.

This brickseek info aligns with the information that the Switch was already selling well before BF.....hence the low stock situation coompared to the PS4 early on.

Pokemon was already moving numbers.

Well we all knew that the issue with the PS4 will be stock.
