How much is the ps4 usually?

It's more like 300 dollars, 350 with a game. Pretty huge deal here!

This will be like last year. Sold out in the first few hours.

It better fucking not. Sony better supply millions of these things or i riot

This thing will sell the entire stock in a few minutes, hoping for the sony to have millions of these pieces prepared and not a limited set.

Very good deal, and with Sony release that they are increasing the profits because they are cutting on deals this must mean PS4 cost to produce is at a very low point now and that they could easily give a major pricecut if they needed (but per track and projections that doesn't seem like the case, I expect very long gen).

I've aways been of the inclination that that sony has been at a good place with PS4 manufacturing for a while now. Basically from the time they went from 28nm to 14nm fabrication.

Its like no one understood how chip deals at this scale goes. They aren't priced per chip they are priced per wafer. Going from 28 to 14nm basically means you are getting about two chips (slightly less than) for the price of one. And using a smaller SOC coupled with fewer ram modules (16 to 8) means manufacturing improvements and cost savings all round.

I have no doubt in my mind that since last year it has not cost sony aything more than $179 to make a PS4 and by now probably even less. The only reason its still priced at $299 is cause sales has remained strong.

Which brings me to this deal. I really don't think sony will have a lot of this SKU in the market at that price. I expect it to become the new pimary sku going forward but i doubt sony is going to have a lot of them at $199. Again, cause the don,t seem to need to. This is why at some point earlier this year I was saying that sony needs to lose a couple of months to make them drop their price....... unfortunately that doesn't seem to be happenning.

More like $300 with a game. The Pro is $399 with a game. Either way, $199 is a good deal.

Probably their strongest bundle since BLOPS3.

I think MS is gonna beat them on price, maybe $180. But there isn't a definitive game to bundle with. Maybe FH4, BFV, the starter bundle, or just do Fortnite.

Yep I guess it's quite possible that they are nearing 149 cost point. And they will hold this price for as long as possible. But for the BF I don't see a problem having like 1M of this to win by a big margin the day. Just to muscle out and show they are still strong.

PS4 + Game, and Sony very likely still turning a profit. Crazy time for SIE. PS4 is by far the biggest product in company history.

Only questin is how many will they produce. PS4 was cut short last year by a shortage of supply. With their forecast this year, I think it will be the same situation. Sony thinks they have reached market saturation, but sales numbers this year are not showing that.

Can't wait to see more deals, and watch the numbers roll in. Best time of the year for sales and stat lovers.

which is why they raised sales forecast for the year?

Sony knows they haven't reached market saturation, its why they still haven't bothered to give the PS4 another price cut. its selling so well.

The forecast for the fiscal year was previously at 17m right?
What's the new one?

~Edit~
Found it. It's now at 17.5m.
