I may try 1st person, but this feels like a game meant to be enjoyed in 3rd person so I will be playing in 3rd person most of the time.
3rd person mode. I hated the 1st person mode on GTA 5, so I'm pretty sure it won't be different on RDR2.
1st person since i barely have any 1st person shooters other than battlefield battlefront and killzone

I was considering that as well but changed my mind when I managed to get it for 45 dollars today lol
Having played the game for a few hours now, third person seems to suit this game better than first. Weird, because I enjoy GTA 5 more in 1st person...

Would have to agree after swapping between the two over the Course of a couple of hours.

Just imagine how the inclusion of VR would have limited the game in other ways |
Limited in what ways? Except for a massive downgrade in graphics of course.
I'm also feeling very restricted and am switching between camera modes all the time to get a good look at what's going on. Using head tracking to aim would already be much better than the akward R* aim mechanics. Allowing freely switching between DS4 and the Aim controller for shooty sections would be even better. Currently I'm relying heavily on auto aim / aim assist as aiming with the analog sticks sucks.
Also while searching around I'm constantly fiddling with the viewpoint to get the right thing to highlight. So much easier when you can simply hold out the DS4 or point with the aim controller to interact with things. In VR you can look through cracks while hiding behind cover, no need to awkwardly stick your head out.
However the devs have been worked hard enough and it looks amazing. The only problem atm is that the 4K HDR tv is in use and I don't really want to play it on anything else. I'll go play some more of Moss instead or check out how it looks in cinema mode on the psvr oled screen.
