We can speak of other predictions that are more easily found (and actually really made). One of which is yours. The Switch would fall off a cliff right?. Well, the cliff still hasn't been seen yet. You got until december buddy.

Pokemon should never be underestimated.  I think the lack of hype comes from it not being 'mainline' and the perception that it is a Switch version of the free game on phones.  Pikachu and Eevee are 58 and 87 respectively on Amazon 2018 which seems to imply that Smash (6!) has all the hype this year on Switch.  But lets face it RDR2 is ranked 85 and there is frankly no way that the combined PS4/Xbox One wont outsell all three titles so preorders are hard to read some time.  Whats more important for Switch numbers is how many holdouts there are for Pokemon Go on Switch.

Now if Nintendo actually believed in sales... 

PS4 smashed its competitors in Sept, as expected. I was expecting something more from X1 though.

Or the notion it would do as bad like the xbox one did last year during the time period before xbox one x launch, or that it would never beat PS4 in any NPD Months. Everyone should not be surprised at the users bias anymore.

On topic, PS4 did amazing, and in its 5th year. Goes to show what great well marketed title will do. Switch did alright, gained some momentum from last month. 

this website is kinda a mess to be honest, so hard to search anything. you had quite a few people, that were in the amazon predictions thread say switch would win every NPD, you had carl saying looks like ps4 wheels are are falling off, rying as always saying to switch would destroy everything, ultimategamer as well, and zoorge, of course people active in prediction thread here is such a small number, not sure what's the point.

So which is bigger for ps4. Rdr2 or spiderman? I can't believe so many big games like assassin's creed, rdr2, bo4, fifa and spiderman are all releasing so close. Ps4 software sales WW those weeks will be nutty. Bf and holiday weeks insane too. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what sort of numbers god of war does this gen. 

I'd say spiderman in October is moving a lot of units and probably still selling ps4's. It has the month in the bag. November is interesting but if ps4 goes big enough with the BF deals switch ain't beating it by much if at all during November. 

Switch is OK, Xbox is not. 

He has a point thoug. A lot of people thought the switch would destroy ps4 this year, especially when Sony made a low forecast and Nintendo made a high one. 

september is a 5 week month for npd.

I love how people still think this when he said he was serious, and gave a good explanation of why he said that. 

Don't overlook this fact folks. September is 5 weeks vs 4 for August. Bear that in mind. The only console gaining momentum atm is the ps4.
