those are shipped numbers, dude just stop its 4.2 million. the link your provide doesnt show anything about 4.5 i been doing sales comparisons for a long time and no one has ever used that number.

By the way, the whole "It isn't fair! Switch had a launch and a holiday season" thing is a totally fair point , and in fact that's what I thought the direction you were going in was. But ... then you ended up making a completely different argument that, for some odd reason, you think the PS4 was way undershipped compared to Switch. Which, isn't even a great argument, since I already said they were both undershipped. 

Also, the "Switch had a launch and holiday season" thing is a tad overplayed. Half of November is still part of a holiday season, and that's where PS4's first year ends. I agree that it explains why Switch won first year, but again, I'm correcting you on the shipment argument.

ok doing some more research the problem with those sony numbers is that they were combined ps3/ps4 sales so yea its 4.2 million.

 

here it is （Upper: Total Lower: PS4, Unit: Million）＊From FY2015, only PS4 unit sales is disclosed.
