no i don't have misconceptions about their policies, i understand their policies pretty well

edit: if you have a disagreement with anything i've stated you are free to counter my argument

The 2nd video in the OP contradicts many of your arguments, I think it's reasonable to assume that everyone who engages in the discussion read(and watch) the OP.

so you created this thread not to discuss anything but to declare that any opposing viewpoint is wrong because of the opinion of someone else presented in video format?

I created the thread to discuss the question "Was Hitler a Socialist?" based on the information provided in the two videos in the OP. I asked you a view responses ago if you watched the videos, if not, there is no common ground on which we can continue to discuss.

do you have any particular arguments to offer in support of your position?

i'm not in discussion with the author of that video, i'm in discussion with you

if this thread was intended to simply be a discussion on a video you should have indicated that in the title

I mostly agree with the autor of the second video, so my argument is basically the second video (as I said it in the OP)but you have to watch the video to know.
I already said an hour ago that you should watch the video.

The National Socialist party of which Hitler was the leader of controlled every aspect of society including corporations, of course he was socialist

That raises an important question: Can a dictatorship be anything other than socialism?

Yes. The Chile military regime. Far-right

I guess one could argue that every dictatorship inherently have to be both socialist and fascist. I personally think there is a distinction between far right and far left dictatorship.

He was the leader of a national socialism party (national socialist german workers party) which was a national and not a global socialism party, but a socialism party... So maybe?
today there is still the arab party ba'athism which also a national socialism party

I have absolutely no idea about how things are in Chile. What makes it far-right?

In 1980, Pinochet privatized the pensions of Chileans, including public servants. Pinochet, who had also made several privatizations of state-owned enterprises, emerged as an emblem of neoliberalism in the region

Aye. Hitler was far left and a socialist. Some values the more left leaning people in america currently share in common. Not all of course, minority.

Is this statement supposed to be a joke I am not getting?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism

The term "National Socialism" arose out of attempts to create a nationalist redefinition of "socialism", as an alternative to both international socialism and free market capitalism

The majority of scholars identify Nazism in both theory and practice as a form of far-right politics.[14] Far-right themes in Nazism include the argument that superior people have a right to dominate other people and purge society of supposed inferior elements.[15] Adolf Hitler and other proponents denied that Nazism was either left-wing or right-wing, instead they officially portrayed Nazism as a syncreticmovement.

Hitler was not far left, nor was he a socialist.

Please stop spreading nonsense and educate yourself on this topic.

Not spreading anything. But I wouldn't exactly use Wikipedia is a source though. Just saying.
