So apparently a writer for Eurogamer and some insiders on ResetERA have hinted at an Animal Crossing reveal for tomorrow. |

Who knows, a September announcement for a march release would fit with their forecast for the fiscal year.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to get you hopes up !

That's exactly what you're doing though. :L |
Sorry for that :P
But seriously, with Nintendo’s marketing startegy, I doubt we’ll get an AC announcement at an E3. For past 3 years, they used E3’s show floor to focus on a specific title, Smash this year, Mario Odyssey last year and BOTW the year before. AC may be one of the current strong IP for Nintendo, the game in itself isn’t suited to generate attention on a show floor like the 3 others. A small announcement during the E3 direct ? Why not, I doubt Nintendo would allocate a full booth for this game.
I think a “one more thing” teaser in a Direct would be enough to generate hype till they unveiled the game in the next Direct.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It is not my intention to get your hopes up, but in my opinion, this E3 logic for Animal Crossing does not make sense.
This is the TGS week, and Nintendo does not attend to TGS, and when they want to announce something directed to japanese people during TGS, they do on Directs. And Animal Crossing is a colossal game in Japan, much bigger than in the rest of the world.
Not thay i believe it will be annouced tomorrow.
I really hope its not the same direct we were going to get last week. We know everything already lol

I do not know how big or important is the announcement of Civilization VI but I hope that Nintendo has reserved some more surprise regarding the third party. By the way, at this point I'm surprised that Capcom has not yet announced the twenty-ninth port of Resident Evil 4, this time for Switch! it will be tomorrow? |
I dont think thats happening unfortunelly. If Retro game is indeed that rumored Star Fox game, Nintendo wont announce it now as to not conflict with Starlink. It would be an unnecessary friction betwenn the two games.
But if that rumour is not true, or Retro is working on more than one game, I can see it happening.
