Yeah..  Legal experts are all over the map on this one. As it stands right now you're probably correct.  Basically, in order for it to count as a campaign expense, it would have to be something that was done for the sole purpose of benefiting the campaign. In this case you could make the argument that he paid these women off because he didn't want personal embarrassment or he didn't want his wife to find out for example. For example, Bill Clinton was famous for his $200 haircuts and of course, your appearance will benefit the campaign but something like that isn't considered a campaign expense but rather a personal expense.

People are largely being fooled on this one because of the guilty plea. But Cohen pleading guilty doesn't mean it was a crime.  For example, there's a lot of cases that get overturned later on based on DNA evidence when a defended had been strongarmed into pleading guilty to a crime they had not committed.

He ll get jail time for it..... thats "crime" enough for me.

I guess trumps best defense then will be "I didnt want my wife knowing about it, I didnt care if I lost the election for president".
And people will have to believe what they want, Trump is a pathological Liar though, its hard to take him at his word.

I bet if Trump's words were 'I did it, I'm guilty, and I should be impeached', his words would suddenly be extremely meaningful because they would magically become nothing but truth after years of lie's and everyone on the left would want it used against him.

He doesnt lie all the time.... so its not like the world would be shocked if he told a truth lol (which your makeing it sound like).
He does it alot more often than most that hold public office though, enough to catagorised as a pathological liar.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2018/08/01/president-trump-has-made-4229-false-or-misleading-claims-in-558-days/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.1897752ff8fe

He tells about 8 lies pr day (falsehoods & misleading claims) to the public.

Yes... because when determining when someone is lying or not, one of the things we consider is their motivation.  Generally, confessing to serious crimes is not in one's best interest to lie about, so in most (not all) circumstance, I would tend to believe a freely given confession of guilt.

Lol, I am chasing nothing.  I am sitting here laughing as people continue to throw away their morals trying to apologize for a con man.  You only have to look at the man history to know exactly the type of person he is.  You only have to look at the present to see the type of idiot he is.

Actually, things continue to be fair game as Trump continues to open his mouth without understanding the damage he does.  You can call Cohen whatever names you want.  You can view him as vile as you want but in the end if he has verified information on Trump with those tapes and records what you will not call him is a liar.  Another crook outting another crook.  It's no different from Gates outting Manafort.  You want to demonize Cohen while turning a blind eye to Trump corruption.  The fun will be you finding ways to continue looking for excuses for a con man until one day you will have to face that you were played.

Says the guy who is championing Cohen as your hero, your “fixer” I should say lol. Stormy denials is nothing new, this “campaign fraud” angle is nothing new, it was stupid then. This stuff has already leaked, like the entire investigation. We have been on this ride lol. They have nothing but the plea deal they just influenced. It won’t be tried and won’t be proven, he’s a stepping stone. They said what they had to say through their fork lawyer tongue: guilty campaign fraud. That’s all people read and it’s wrong. It was wrong then and it is now.

I’m not turning a blind eye to your lack of evidence. Innocent until proven guilty is American law, sorry. You can be Nostradamus all you want and tell me this secret smoking gun evidence that has magically not been leaked yet. Do that I will acknowledge your defense of that scumbag and recede my comment. I don’t have to prove that they don’t have any evidence of Russian collusion, they do that for me. You are the one dismissing known facts for hopes lol. I would hate to see a serious civil scuffle over Donald Trump. How dumb are we as a society? Let the retards stampede our constitution because they can’t wait 4 years to vote in somebody else? It violates their safe place, their sanctuary is under assault from authoritarian Hitler. Both sides are insufferable drags, but the anti-trumpists are are on another level, especially congressmen and the top levels of these agencies. It’s frankly treasonous how they defy the constitution they swore to protect. Wait the 4 years and vote him out, this by hook or crook Venezuelan angle is unacceptable and trashy. It’s bad law that sets bad precedent.

Ahh, now I am championing Cohen.  No, I see him for exactly what he is another crook.  Just like any crook, they know when they play the game, there will be a time when their crooked partner will turn on them.  What do those people do all the time, they keep records, tapes, receipts you name it so that if they get caught, they are not going down without taking their partner in crime with them.  This happens all the time, the only difference is that you choose to believe that Trump isn't a crook.  You ignore his history of as if the slate was turned clean because he became president.  You can put Cohen, Omarosa, Trump, Manaford, Gates all of them in the same basket.  I am sure you were one of those people chanting "Lock her up" for Hillary.  You are right that Stormy, campaign fraud, and a host of other things concerning Trump and his troop of crooks are nothing new.  It also nothing new that people will condemn all the rest in the game but believe that Trump is the only clean one in the bunch.

You are right that nothing has been charged to Trump so far so i will give you that, but I am in no hurry.  If he is clean then all is good.  If he is dirty, I sure hope not to see any more excuses or finding some way to say it doesn't matter.

This quote I read from another poster pretty much sums up the average Trump supporter

1. Its a total lie, never happened, fake news

2. It happened but its not a big deal

3. Ok, it might be a big deal but it isn't illegal

4. okay it's illegal but Hillary and Obama something something , so it's ok.

5. Get over it Libtard, you're just a sore loser!!

Trump didn’t know he was recording him. Making somebody sign a non-disclosure agreement for money is not being a crook. Trump has nothing to do with the 2005 tax fraud charges or cohens tax fraud charges. This guilty by assossiation nonsense is easily dismissible. You’re acting like I’m ignoring something significant and you are wrong to portray that.

Your Trump supporter quotes are irrelevant generalizations, I have said nothing of the sort to you. I “ignore their partner in crime”? What crime there is no crime. The guilty pleas have nothing to do with Russian collusion, absolutely nothing and you avoid that fact. Omarosa is a non-issue lol. Why even bring her up? Trump said N**** so he obviously collided with Russians? Remember what this investigation is about.

I have never been to a trump rally and would never go to a trump rally so no I haven’t chanted lock her up. It doesn’t change the fact that she should be locked up on her many proven but uncharged felonies. I bet you ignore those too while you wait and hope for any smigen of evidence against trump. Right, it’s nothing new. There was no campaign fraud, it doesn’t matter if he plead guilty to something that wasn’t a crime, that was his plea deal lol. “I’m guilty, give me lenience” that’s all that means. The entire premise of your argument is a falsehood. So far he’s clean lol, I’m not dismissing anything. You’re assuming things and then chastising me for not assuming with you.

I see another person has gone the Immunity route in the Trump spear. Allen Weisselberg CFO of the great institution we know as the Trump Organization has cut his deal to get ahead the chaos that will be coming soon. We should expect to see more people start to make deals as the house Trump has built starts to crumple.

That CFO deal also has nothing to do with Russian collusion lmao. If they have to pull every brick out with their bare hands, this house will crumble! It’s such a fucking circus. I wish people weren’t so gullible. Are they even investigating the election anymore? What about Russia? “Russia?.... oh yeah, RUSSIA! Wait for the investigation”

Hmmm, you seem to be way too focused on the Russian investigation.  What makes you believe that only collusion is on the table.

That’s the only reason the investigation exists. Of course it has devolved into opposition research and ridiculous excuse for the state to harass a sitting president. Your lack of focus on Russia tells me exactly where you stand. You couldn’t care less about Russian collusion, you just want to see him burn like a heretic.

Edit:  You are right that I do not care about the Russian collusion the way you believe I do.  If Trump commited a crime just like anyone else he should burn.  My concern is not so much about only the Russian investigation but the whole corrupt administration.

Yeah, but when you investigate someone, what makes you believe that any other criminal dealing they do are not on the table.  Also I believe you are missing something while you concentrate on the hush many playmates and porn stars and not the other campaign money sent to a EU group that was also not disclosed.  Here is a part of that famous steele dossier about Cohen trip to Prague I am sure a lot of people forgot about

It further alleges that Cohen, two Russians, and several Eastern European hackers met at the office of a Russian government-backed organization in Prague to discuss “how deniable cash payments were to be made to hackers in Europe who had worked under Kremlin direction against the Clinton campaign.”

Seems there could be more meat to the Steele dossier if that 50K to a hacking group in EU turns out to be true.  Now, what will you say if this turns out to be Trump.  Will you deny that this was all done by Cohen and Trump had no knowledge of it.  He acted alone etc.  Isn't the threat Cohen lawyer made to Trump that their are receipts and other evidence not disclosed by this trial coming soon.  Well, I suggest you just sit back and let this all come out and we will see just how clean Trump ends up smelling in the end.  So far, things are not looking as rosy as you appear to want them to be.
