Crash Bandicoot is probably the most significant one, since that literally used to be Playstation's mascot. Sony just needs a new mascot. Something cute like Kratos.

Sack Boy was an unofficial mascot for several years and then.....nothing.

Because LBP3 didn't sell that great I feel.

LOL, now only if we could get his face to stick that way.

Third parties gonna third party.

can we lock this ?

Why?

As to why- either the timed exclusive deal expired, or both the developer and Sony came to a mutual financial agreement to release the contract so that the developer could go multi-plat. Sony probably felt these deals served their purpose, along with already having sold as much as they were going to, decided it was no longer necessary to keep the deal in place.

For those asking for a list:

Former PS4 Console Exclusives
-Nier Automata
-Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
-No Man's Sky

If there's a PS4 game that's also on PC don't be shocked if it ends up on other consoles.

What a hilariously alarming post for a bunch of nothing.

for every game that goes, there are ones that stay, so so what? this stuff happens all the time. it's obviously more noticeable if you have exclusives to start with

I get what the OP is saying. It's a little mind boggling. As a fan of the PlayStation platform is it Sony's deal with developers to make games timed exclusive without outwardly saying so? If you think it's a console exclusive you think oh dang guess I have to get it on PS4 or PC to find out a few months later that it's coming to other consoles. Will Xbox customers actually pick up Nier Automata and Crash now that it's available to them or will they stick to their Forza, Halo and Gears routine? Did Microsoft shell out a bunch of money or was it simply an unannotated timed exlusive? Like MS tried this with Rise of the Tomb Raider and it was clear then (timed exlusive). PS4 owners would have to wait a full year yet when PS customers bought it they surpassed the Xbox version at retail in no time. So in that sense it doesn't alleviate the value of the game but bolsters strong commitment if the gamer. So for now Shenmue 3 is slated for PC and PS4 but in 2020 will it be available to Xbox Consoles? I'm glad other platforms get an opportunity to play a previously exlusive game I just think industry wide a policy should be put into place that this game is either Exclusive, Timed or Multiplats, not "Find out later".

Bit of a troll thread to be honest.

I'm guessing he means Crash Bandicoot, Spryo and Grandia.

Well not to be a dick but, Grandia I and II were on Sega platforms first and also housed the better versions.

If PS5 doesn't do as well as PS4. Or the next Xbox does really well. Then the tr3nd you are talking about will continue.

But who doesn't want $$$$$?

Pocky Lover Boy!
