Those are some things that have been mentioned. Everyone is different and you may find some of those things can help while other things might not. Some things that I would like to add are nature and meditation/mindfullness. Studies show those two can help. I know that it can be very difficult to get up and do anything, but just a short walk to the nearest forest and being there a while, can be helpful.
You said that talking to people hasn´t helped, but it might still be better to keep on talking. Talking with a therapist could help down the road.
I have been depressed and seeing a therapist once a week for couple years helped me, but the during the first year I didn´t notice any difference. I almost quit the therapy as seemed pointless (luckily I didn´t). My depression remained pretty steady, it didn´t get worse or better, but then after one year it slowly started to help. During terapy I learned a lot about myself, learned to deal with problems and learned how to relieve anxiety. It helped a lot.
Sleep is very important and getting enough good quolity sleep seems to be a big problem for you. I don´t have any special advise for that, you should probably ask your doctor about that. One thing that I would advise is to not overthink about it. Thinking that you have fall asleep can make it even harder. And if you find yourself in bed awake waiting for sleep and it seems impossible to fall asleep, then don´t, do something else and try again later.
And actually don´t think anything as something that you have to do. Nothing really is like that.
I hope that you will get better, I know that its not easy, but its possible and you can do it for yourself and your loved ones.
Don´t worry about the past or the future.
Be gentle to yourself and give yourself time to get better.
