Once the major switch releases start pouring in you've gotta wonder where that baseline is going to shift to. So much happening in such a short span once Mario Party releases.

Is Smash a heavy hitter in Japan? At any rate, Pokemon Let's Go + Yokai Watch 4 this holiday season should be enough to send the Switch into beast mode.

Now imagine when Capcom finally pulls their head out of their rear and makes a proper Monster Hunter game for Switch...

Yeah baseline has been 40-50k this year in what is essentially a dry year for the Switch. From Nov 2018 through end of 2019 I'm guessing we'll see Pokemon Let's Go, Smash, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Dragon Quest, maybe even something like a 2D Mario, and probably some 3rd parties starting to come out with big games they started in 2017 once they realized they had woefully misjudged the Switch. I could see the baseline in Japan for 2019 being like 70-80k.
