Wasnt this already announced shortly after launch? Regardless, thats awesome and well deserved.

Yes, and it was mentioned in the thread.

I guess now they are talking NPD instead of WW.

Gamers don't want linear games as much as they used to.

The market is not there.

Absolutely fantastic news. God of war 2 will be a monster.

only if we could find those people that said GOW would sell no more than 4-5M lifetime because thats what the franchise used to sell.

To be fair a lot of big games of this gen had the "this game won't do more than X because the franchise never done more than Y".

Only big franchises I see really losing steam this gen would be Halo and perhaps GT

This is not unexpected considering the incredibly positive launch sales news put alongside the series sales historic NA popularity. My interest is how it translates WW it surely selling well in Europe but how much of a pick up from the previous GOW games is it getting there ? , then comes the comparisons with other Sony titles. and how their increases over PS3 compares and in Horizons case coming from a European studio is it's popularity skewed the other way.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Single player games are dad.

So does that mean MP games are mum, and  are free to play the kids.

If I didn't know better, I'd think that single player games aren't dead after all, seeing the sales of many games this gen. But what do I know compared to oracles of the industry?

One of the reasons for the format change GOW underwent was because sony wanted it to do better WW.
So surely its doing much better in europe too than previous GOW games.

Sony even came out in a interview (old by now), and said as much, that they where trying to appeal more to the european market with games.
