I believe during DoA2/or beach volleyball he said he wanted men to be able play with the women of their dreams. That is from the creator!

3rd bolded batch - Call to emotion is the worst argumentative stance to ever take because it produces stuff like this. You are sooo totally blinded. No one is claiming that sexy women(or men) cannot be cool, hell, if anything this industry has pushed the contrary for decades (that's toxic). They have the decided to emphasize the coolness of the females  over the sexy. Dead or Alive has always had the moniker of the "softcore porn fighting  game" and they are working to shed that image. Did you that the competitive fighting scene in Japan does not take Dead or Alive seriously? Did you that a lot of the changes to the females were done the request of Japanese gamers who felt embarrassed while playing it in the arcades? So what "fans" are they pissing on? Otaku basement dwellers? It does not matter what side of the world you are on; consumers have outgrown the softcore elements of the series.
