Socialized healthcare predates the Nazis by a good while https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/bismarck-tried-end-socialisms-grip-offering-government-healthcare-180964064/

As for gun restrictions the government in place before the Nazis was actually more strict on gun ownership than the Nazis themselves although the Nazis did dearm the Jewish population. https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/oct/26/ben-carson/fact-checking-ben-carson-nazi-guns/

And I regards to education socialized college tuition is relatively new https://www.forbes.com/sites/ccap/2014/10/03/there-is-not-such-thing-as-a-free-college-education/#5ee8ef52417a

With public schools dating back to the 1800s https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Germany

As for government child care I don't know, partly because researching something so specific is a pain in the ass

the point i'm making is that regardless of whether certain policies predated them or not, they still pushed those policies

they did not take them away as a government opposed to certain policies would

They didn't push those policies they kept them because they where working before and most Germans where in support of those policies.  You  pretty much have to be metal to think that universal health care and public schools are a bad thing.

I get what you where trying to say there but the two parties made a complete switch when it comes to racism in the 60s.  Dixiecrat's switched over to become Republicans and the people that supported the Civil Rights Act stayed or became Democrats.   Also the majority of the people in the Civil Rights movement where either Democrats or leaned towards being Democrats.

That’s the biggest load of revisionist crap I have ever heard. It’s nothing more than the democrats trying to distance themselves from their own crappy history. The blacks left for the democrat party during the new deal, they fell for the progressive push started the by Wilson. It had nothing to do with racism. Dixiecrats left the democrats to hurt the democrats after they stopped fighting against civil rights. It was a protest vote. You couldn’t name one time the Republican Party adopted the democrats racist platform like him crow. You can’t name one republican that stood against the civil rights movement. “The “complete switch” is a complete lie. Who ended segregation? Who sent the military to escort black kids into southern public schools? I’m not attacking you personally but it’s not the first time I heard that and it’s such bullshit.

I would like to add that LBJ's 'War on poverty' really held black Americans back and they were improving before the 'War on poverty' began. A disproportionate amount of black families suffered from fatherlessness because the policies replaced the father with the state. To this day, a lot of black children still grow up without a father figure and it really hurts their futures.

Its not bullshit its the facts.  But right wingers and Republicans would have liked you to believe that MLK Jr was a Republican when Obama ran for office.  But now that he is been out of office they finally a telling the truth about MLK Jr he was very much far left wing in his believes and politics.  Wilson wasn't that progressive the two most progressive presidents of the 20th Century where the two Roosevelt's with LBJ being a distant third.  Also its pretty much a well known fact that Woodrow Wilson was one of the most racist presidents of all time.

Well it used to be 98% white so its slowly getting more diverse.  The aging work force and stagnant population is a much bigger problem then its diversity.

Yeah I highly doubt that since the majority of people that where actually helped by the War on poverty where poor whites.  Also the guy that actually wold have done sometime far more drastic and more effective against poverty unfortunately got assassinated on April 4th, 1968.

What you said is bullshit, not facts. I didn’t say anything about MLK jr. How about telling me what year the Republican Party adopted racist democrat platform? Just because the democrats finally realized that being racist is hurting them politically, they changed their platform. It doesn’t mean “they switched sides”. That’s so ignorant.
