Nice Octopath and Switch sales. 

You do realize that you are acting just as bad as the "hardcore Nintendo fans" right now, right? It's kinda sad that you hate a video game company (aka toy company) so much. I'm sure 99% of the people replying to you feel the same way when you contaminate every sales thread with trash-talk about Nintendo.

I guess both of guys missed the thread warning, or probably just don't care? Ill learn to stay away from media create threads if a neutral comment makes a few sensitive people throw hissy fits.  

I think Pokemon Let's go P/E will flop by Pokemon sales standard with a 500-600k opening week. I still didn't get why Junichi Masuda is trying so hard to bring Pokemon Go crowd into mainline series. By removing random battle and introducing overpriced gimmicky peripheral for an exclusive Pokemon are really putting some mainline Pokemon fans away from this title.

Instead of pulling the mobile crowd into switch why didn't they double down the nostalgia factor of original R/B/G Pokemon series and bringing it back the old players.
Smash Bros Ultimate, on the other hand, is going to break the record of past games in the opening week. Sakurai planned perfectly with the game direction, unlike Masuda.
My prediction for Smash Bros Ultimate = 1.2 Million units FW

Not sure what this has to do with Japan sales for the week of July 9-15, but ooooookay... 

Nintendo games,especially Nintendo's big and stronger IPs are selling great on Switch, in general Switch games are selling much better on Switch compared to 3DS. They were very clear about Pokemon Lets Go, its more causual Pokemon game that attracts more wider audience than core Pokemon game, yes some core Pokemon fans will not buy this game (but most of Pokemon will probably buy it in any case) but there will also be quite new people that didnt play before Pokemon core games. Also they were clear that core Pokemon game is coming next year.

I dont say maybe we want have 500-600k sales in opening week, but with all things on mind, we can expect quite good sales for Pokemon Go in any case.

I'm no japanese, but between Ys viii, The Lost Child, BattleChasers: Nightwar, Shining Resonance and Octopath Traveller I had to make hard decisions in the RPG-department. I've gone with BattleChasers and Octopath and both didn't disappoint. As I love RPGs, I'll pick up the other titles too over time, but for now I have enough.

Good week for Switch, let's hope they can solve Octopath's stock-issues fast

how is battlechasers? i am really considering having that as my next game and holding off on octopath traveler

Forgot to point out last time but PS4 doesn't look like a hot item atm. Hardware revision is needed in Japan, PS5 is a last 2 or 3 years away.
