my thought is that: sony will delay those games until this generation will end so PR can always tell that big games are comming to ps3 or there will be some doomsday after releasing all those overhyped games.

Weel Soriku: thing is that when FF13 arrives Square Enix already has new stuff going, because otherwise it would take 4 years before the next big SE game comes out.

So wherever Kingdom Hearts is going, it's already decided.

I see the PS3 getting a nice boost with those games, and after that back to normal, waiting for other hyped games.

Well, we have already seen that some AAA games do sell well on the PS3 (Cod 4 and AC), so I'm sure 3rd parties will continue to release big games on PS3
MGS 4 will sell several million, as will the other ones for release this year
However, Sony have a ton of unnanounced games, so these will be released mostly in 09, though i think they have one or two suprises for this year

Sony is the only one of the 3 console maker that released a big title after switching to the next Gen ( GoW2) so I don't see why things would be different this gen, they aren't gonna drop the ball early.

Great point about the games you mentioned. I wouldn't be shocked if FFXIII VS didn't come out until 2010.

But Sony wasn't the only one to release a big title after switching generations. Zelda TP is a big title.
