I'll be honest, I completely forgot Forbidden west was released lol

Will add it to my wishlist (alongside God of War Ragnarok).

But likely I'll wait until I get a PS5 (or if it comes to PC) instead of getting the PS4 version.

(Unless the PS4 ver goes for like $10 which I've seen with a few Sony games going that much - thats how I got the PS4 version of Horizon 1 complete).

Forbidden you can buy the PS4 version and get the PS5 upgrade for free.

Ooh, is there a time limit for that or does it apply automatically as soon as you boot the game on PS4?

Haven't heard of any time limit. The only thing I read was that it would be the last 1st party game with free upgrade. I guess it doesn't matter when you buy if you put the disc on PS5 you will be able to chose to install the PS5 version (which of course will need to download the patch to install as PS5 version).

Thanks! I guess I'll buy it when it goes on sale

Does this apply to the digital version too or just physical?

IF you buy digital it's automatic. Just buy it and I THINK you get licenses for both versions. when you get a PS5 you just download the PS5 version.

for the disc, you have to put the disc in and then download the PS5 version and always use the PS4 disc.

it's weird. I used to be anti-digital but this generation I completely swapped. There's only like 10 games out of the 300is I own on PS4 that I only have disc versions of (mostly VR stuff my ex-roommate left here that I don't have a VR headset to utilize), and all of my PS5 games are digital (I do have a couple physical games, but even those I bought digitally, too).

I'll likely get it digital.

I rarely buy physical now a days unless the price is really good.

I've started getting to a point where I buy digital, and if I love the game or it goes on sale I get it physically, too. I intend to get FFVII Remake physically as well as Ratchet & Clank Rift apart physically once the opportunity arises.

I have an 8TB external drive with 2.5 TB free as well as a 2TB onboard M2SSD that has about 500GB free. Between all that I have over 300 games currently installed. I see little to no reason to go physical except for collector's purposes and in case I want to lend my favourite games out to friends/family. My PS5 is currently the primary hub for my Living room, and I like being able to just boot it up and browse my games like people do on Netflix or GamePass.

If you like GT7, then I suggest physical for the collectors edition that is only one that have PS4+PS5 included.

Also for games that have 2 versions you can get 2 sets of trophies and several of those you can even double plat at a single play.

No thread or comment summarizing the SOP? I found it very strong.

Me too, though I am a little disappointed in FFXVI's delay. But at the same time not really. Got plenty to play this year with God of War Ragnarok on the horizon (as well as Horizon, which I've yet to play). Oh, and Tunic is one of those 'I'm jealous of Xbox' games that we're getting.

I was on twitter for all of five minutes and got inundated by 'all the games at the Sony Showcase are coming to Xbox/PC, and ponies are crying about it' stuff, and all I could think was 'really? The ONE Exclusive you had this year (tunic) is coming to PS consoles and that's the hill you're dying on?' I just can't do it anymore.

Nice SoP and they didn't even need Ragnarok or a big new first party reveal. I assume GoW will have its own stream shortly before release. Hope I don't have to wait much longer to see Factions 2. Looking forward to PSVR2 regardless.

I'm blown away. Sony just redefined what a State of Play could be!
