It's a refreshing JRPG with a nice atmosphere and great fighting gameplay.

Resonance Of Fate will be out on PlayStation Europe in two days.

Is that game worth it? I've heard it was a little bit divisive with players but I don't really know much about it and would like to get into JRPGs.

Between possibly picking up Red Dead Redemption 2, Spyro Trilogy, Super Smash Bros (blasphemy!), Insurgency Sandstorm, and maybe Earth Defense Force 5 ... it's hard to choose what games to get :/

I think it's worth it. The battle system is unique and very interesting, the story is good, and the characters well written. It does take a while before the plot really gets going, but the only big issue Resonance of Fate has in my opinion is that there are some random, massive difficulty spikes in the game with certain bosses. Because of that it can get a bit frustrating at certain points.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom first major DLC titled
New equipment and system included.
The first of two major downloadable content releases for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom part of the game’s Season Pass is called “The Ghost King’s Labyrinth,” the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.
The story sees players take on King Lamikyl of the ruined kingdom Endrance, which is considered the cause of the evil miasma that attacked the world of Ni no Kuni. It will also add new equipment and a new “Gokui (Mysterious Arts) System” to the battle system.
A release date was not announced.

Marvel's Spider-Man topped the US September charts, according to NPD. The game set a new record for a PlayStation exclusive with the highest launch when it comes to revenue.
"Marvel’s Spider-Man, the best-selling game of September, achieved the highest launch month dollar sales for any PlayStation exclusive in history, and is the seventh largest launch ever achieved by any game on any PlayStation platform, said NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella.
Spider-Man for PS4 sold 95,120 digital copies in its first month in Japan.

It's easy. Red Dead Redemption. Nothing else is important, nothing else is as good. Once you are done with that then you consider playing other inferior games

Could it be the wonderful Dragon Quest Xi on PS4 went down because of the big Spiderman-release (i saw the us-sales) ? A situation similar like Ni No Kuni 2 when God of War appeared? That would be a pity. DQ11 is my favorite JRPG of the year and has the best cities / villages. After Persona 5 the best of the last years. Winter time is a good time for big games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Dragon Quest Xi on PS4. Or maybe... what do you think, is the JRPG-hype smaller than 2-3 years ago ?

At this point, I'm gonna have to wait if they release a complete edition for the game, I played this on my cousin's PC and I couldn't go on after a few hours(same with DQXI), my love for JRPG's is fading, I'll try playing DQXI again when I finally get bored with RDR2.

How dare you!?

Suikoden 2 is crying inside its case.

Eh eh! No one's killing anything here okay!? It's like love for a kin that's fading, but you still can recover it okay!? Lol

Probably gonna wait to see if they release a complete edition for Ni No Kuni II before I get it. I was considering getting it soon, but the DLC announcement makes we want to wait a while longer. And it's not like I'm short on games to play at the moment anyway.

So, it's that time of the year again. Every fourth quarter of each year, I find that there's a couple of titles I'm interested in. But the struggle is always: Am I actually interested, or is it just hype getting to me? This year it is SoulCalibur 6, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Black Ops 4. Which is probably the best and most enticing lineup of "maybes" since this has become a trend with me. All of them look quality. I'll probably wait for a sale for SoulCalibur 6, skip BLOPS4, and buy RDR2 near launch. But it sucks because I'm really in the mood for a casual shooter and a fighting game
